I like the hood on the first one more. The one on the second is too busy. I like the side exhaust though.

It's a cool concept.. and I really like the drawing, but I know I'd rather the first hood (in real life).

And I'd KILL for either one of those front clips. dang! side exhaust is badass too.

but congrats on another beauty drawing.. i've honestly missed having you post new ones every few weeks.

Definitely very busy. Maybe if you threw the louvers on a non-ram air hood...?

DAMN!! I like them both. I'd love to have that 2nd hood. You design that hood yourself or has someone made it?

Both look badass dude!:hail:

Hmmm, I thought more people would like the hood, I'll edit it later and add it to the top. I'm pretty partial to the first hood myself. If some actually made it for Firebirds, I would definately by one. I love cowl hoods, but I would much prefer a cowl hood that matched the countours of the birds' hood.

Nice, that second hood reminds me of the 98-up mecham hood.

They all look good, but I won't be able to see over it.
I have a hard time seeing over the RA2 hood in my formula.

It's worse at night since I think I have my headlights aim too low.
When sitting normally, I can't see my lights on the ground in front of me.

Nice concepts man!

The hoods in the 2nd/3rd drawings looks pretty similar to the 4th gen Mecham hoods. They look mean as hell btw!!

Looks like those drawings are the last custom ones I'm doing and the last drawings I'm ever going to post.

I still may do a few thirdgen drawings for other people every now and then, but I'm not going to post them.

I'm still working on my own drawing, I'm planning on using all stock thirdgen parts, but it won't have a stock look. The idea I have now will be much easier to turn from idea to reality.

Thanks everyone for the complients on the drawings.

... which is weird, because they're all hosted at the same place (freeservers.com) and they were all working yesterday.

QUESITON THOUGH...

can you put 4th gen fronts on 3rd gen cars? i love the one on the 2nd picture, and the hood... i wish the real hood tho(in the real pic), i wish the ram air part was bigger, i like the whole open look to it...

But ya... can you fit 4th gen front bumper on 3rd gen cars?

if so... /me would love to get one. (/me is for a program, mIRC, if any of you use it, you know it means, me/i).

The first hood would look great with TA vents.

Devian, I love the 2nd one from teh top the best. The mecham looking one with the 4th gen themed front end. You should really try to get in touch with a body kit manufaturer to try to get these going fro real. I would buy that hood and front clip most definatly. I'm actually putting hte 91 TA sideskirts and rear bumper with a 86 TA front clip. I'll post a pic so you can see, I think you were thinking bout doing the same thing.

rofl, in other words? no.... but w/ lots of money...

my question is... how different are the demensions of the front end? if it's not that much... i might think about it, just think, lol.

ok... i just looked at some... on ramairhood.com

shibby... i think it'd be easyer to just get the foam stuff from home depot, make a whole pile of it moded to your car front bumper, or the car, then make a mold from that, and one from that... then just freakin cut it how you want it... then get some carbon fibre, or fiberglass(i prefer carbon, i am in love with it)... and then mold it to it,... prime, paint, screw on.

i doubt this would really be feasable... but you never know... OR... you could get some clay like they use to actually mold parts for cars... send it in somewhere, and have it fiberglassed to how you want. Either way, you won't get both sides to match up to each other w/o hours upon hours of work and dedication. Something i won't have soon, school starting back and all.

anubiscougar,

Yes it can be done, but we are talking like weeks worth of work and thousands of dollars to get it to look perfect. One off custom work is not cheap and fairly labor intensive if you want it done right.
