Help with wax: What have I done?!?!?!?!?

I went to my friend's house last night.. decided to wax my car while we were stayin up and shootin sheit.... but I just had driven over there, and me not thinkin, waxed the hood after I had drive.. it was pretty warm...

...soooooo now I have swirls from the wax in the hood... it should wash out, right?!?!?!? I just need some re-assurance... it's irritating the hell outta me... would I have to use some kinda cleaner wax or will it come out with washing the car, I mean, it's just wax right?

It's formula 113 incase anyone wants to know... gonna try zaino next when the formula runs out...

Yes, it was a small mistake waxing your car while the body was warm. But don't worry...It sounds like you have very small scratches in your clear coat. Did you wash your car RIGHT before you waxed it? Cuz if there is any trace of dirt or dust on the paint, when you wax it will scratch up the clear coat.

My suggestion is to try and buff those swirls out. I use Mother's Carnuba Car Wax and it's the best ever. Make sure you wash your car right before you wax to get rid of all dirt. Wax in a cool area, if it's sunny, find some shade. Lemme know the results. Hope this will help.

and if you want to totally strip the wax off and start over, you can use Dawn dish soap to wash the wax off..

but beware that it stripps all the protective coating off your paint, so you need to wax it right away afterward.. you shouldnt wait a few days after you wash it

I think what he is talking about is not actual swirls but it is like there is still wax on the car in little swirl form, If this is it dont worry about it, wash the car and if it isnt gone wax it again when it is cool and it should be all gone.

Yeah, there are swirls like i applied the wax that I can't get off... like it dried on really well... I just went outisde and looked at my car in the sun and I can't even see it, but inside I can see it....

I'm hopin it'll just go away after I wash it again.

this happens to my car all the time and it seems like it happens more when i do it in the shade. the wax doesnt come off it just smeers and when u look at it in the sun light it looks like spider webs, but its smeered wax, ive tryed tons of differnt waxs, it pisses me off. what worked for me tho was to wash it, wax it, wait a day and wash it again and the smeer is all gone, any one know what im doin wrong.

Once in a while I have the same problem, esp with black. I just go over where I waxed with Mothers quick detailer and it works great.

Use clean cotton towels to buf the wax of!!
This is the best advice I got lately, wish I used towels years before!
Even my black Formula looks great after taking the wax of with those towels,no matter what brand of wax I use!!
Try it,just use a clean part of the towel, time after time, you will be amazed for sure!!
Just buy the least expensive cotton towels you can find, they will do!

I had the same problem. I solved it by using much less wax.
