Hey everyone. Here are some pics of my brown z. I have not seen many brown z's so I guess that is one of the few good things about the color I think the color is ok but later on I want to paint it either a metallic or gloss black Give me some opinions on what I should do with the car.

Nice lookin car.

I think you should take off your T's, mask them off, then repaint the metal part gloss black.

It makes a world of difference.

 

May as well do the doorhandles while you're at it as well

 

its good to see another early style thirdgen Z on here we are becoming extinct. I like the car though and its not as bad as mine started out.

 

this may sound strange but those rims/tires & gfx's make the car look pretty bad azz....usually people say get other rims but they look really good on there....they definitly set the car off...in a nut shell....looks really good!!!!! :lala:

Yes...But it's so sexy when it's waxed and polished.

Around here i'm known as the F-Body ***, cause' i'm the only person that doesnt have a prmered, rusted, mismatched, rotting car.

 

if you want a suggestion...look at heavy_chevy29's car...its so clean and the color combo he has makes the car look amazing. hes got an 84 Z28 with the stock GFX and everything, black with silver GFX. one of the best 82-84 cars ive ever seen.

 

Repainting the metal part of the t-tops and the door handles are good ideas. Sometime in the near future I also want to polish out my rims and lower it.

 

Look at the Fender gaps on all these rides!!!

 

I want to see pics of the Engine????!!!!

 

Brown certanately is unique. Its like a Burnt Sienna. The worst shade of brown ever is that shade on the Vista Cruiser on That 70s show.

I have never seen that paint when freshly painted. I wonder how good it would look.

 

I put a later nose on my 83 Z-28, so they arent all extinct. Iits just awaiting a motor, but thats after i Fix the GTA. I pick this car up for 200 bucks too

 

Sure, I dont know why though. I will take some tommorow. Its dark out right now

Maybe I can get some pics of the "fresher" paint for you. I dont know if you can tell by the pics but it has metallic sparkles in it. I bet it would look pretty good if it was freshly painted.

i agree, i love the look of those wheels and ground effects together, see so few in decent condition anymore

I was lucky my '82 wasn't in bad shape. Paint was gone and had some areas of surface rust. Popped out a couple dents here and there, painted it, did some interior work and called it good for now hehe. So many little things I want to get done on it but it's going to be a bit at a time. The people who I bought it from were going to take it to the crusher if no one bought it.

 

I'm for originality! Re-paint the car it's original brown. It's good seeing an 82-84 speciman in the shape yours appears to be in.

the only other brown z28 i remember seeing is that one, and it looks pretty mean imo with the lightly tinted windows, and lighter trim.

 

My first Camaro was a brown 82 Z28. Cross fire and the hole nine yards. It was a fun car but in pretty rough condition.

 

Ok me and my dad repainted my door handles and the metal part of the t-tops like some of you advised. It looks good. Here are some pics of it and an engine pic for that one guy
