My car, Tell me what you think?

This is my Camaro. I am hoping to get it painted this weekend. I decided to paint it Hugger Orange, with Tangerine Pearl over it. I am trying to bring the orange color out in it more.
I am hoping to get to race this summer. This is my combination.
355 ci.
Trick flow twisted wedge heads
9.7-9.9 Compression
268 extreme cam- 477/480 lift(224/230 @0.050)
1.5 roller tip rockers,
RPM Performer intake
holley 650 double pumper
headman headers full length 1 5/8
turbo 350 trans, 1900-2200 stall; shift kit
26 in. tall tires Drag Radials
4:11 posi trac 10 bolt
83 Z 28 we have lightened it up a bit, I am hopeing to get it down to 3000 with me in it.
Tell me what you think. If you don't like it, please don't be rude about it.

Well it sounds like a pretty good combo you got there and I would really like to see some pics before and after its painted to see the progress you are making on it. I would also like to welcome you to the boards since it looks like this is your first post. All that aside Im so glad to see someone else doing an early thirdgen because everyone is going to the new style but I think ours look meaner because of the noses we have being different than lets say an IROC.

I am limited on lift because of the valve angle on the intake valve. My Twisted wedge heads have a 13 degree intake valve. Which means that the valve releifs don't match the valve. You have to buy special pistons to run more lift. I couldn't afford them at the time , because I spent my money on the heads. I am also saving up for a 3000 stall. It should run good though because everything is matched up. I ran a similar combo: 355, 9.7-9.8 compression, 186 camel hump heads 1.94/1.50, RPM intake, roller tip rockers, headers, stock converter, 3:42 gears-spider gears welded together, cam was 224/224 at 50, total duration was like 292/288 with lift around 450/460 it was an old style grind from a 300hp 70 somthing model vette or somthing like that, and a slightly messed up 750 vaccum secondary. reg. radial tires. I ran a best of 13.315 at 106. I also ran a 13.35,13.40, and a lot of 13.5's. I managed to play with the gas when I ran the 13.31. All the other times I just stomped it to the floor. I was spinning for quite a ways. I figured that with all my upgrades to my motor, I should run some mid 12's, and possibly high 11's on my 75 shot of nitrous.

The hood scoop came from some fiberglass magazine. My dad just fiberglassed ti to my hood.

I just got most of my car repainted. We still have to paint the spoiler, and two spots we missed on the underside of the mirror. . We only got one small run in it, and two bugs .
I am going to get some more pics as soon as the rest car is painted and everything buffed out. I will get some closer shots, and if I can get my motor area cleaned up a little I will get some motor shots. I will also try to get some pics of my rear set up that my dad made. I will hopefully get some track times in a few weeks, as soon as I get some time off work.

Anyways, has anyone ever sanded and buffed their car before? what grit sand paper do I use? Any other tips will be appreciated.
