White Underbody Neon Kit

Hey guys, I've been thinking about purchasing an underbody kit but I have a problem. My car is Metallic Teal and I'm not sure if any kit would match the color of the paint. So I was thinking about getting a kit with "white" neons. I've never really seen a car with 'em, so I'd appreciate it if someone could post some pics with the white lights (preferably on a thirdgen Camaro). Thanks in advance.

Here's the best pic I could find of white, I've seen a red Camaro with white lights that didn't look too shabby. Otherwise I think the turquoise would be the best bet.

Would it actually be called a neon light if it was just white?? Why not get some flourescent long bulbs and go from there?

I think floresent bulbs are a bit to fragile too put on the underbody of a car, also I'm not sure about this but isn't neon and floresent two different kinds of lights?

I was just kidding in case you haven't figured that out. Any little rock or pebble hitting those lights would break the glass. It was just meant as a joke.

the white is actually the brightest neon light besides red which is a close second. the whole purpose of the neon was to accent the car at night shows and cruises. red is nice ie: body color because it flows well but white stands out so unbelievable that i don't really use the red much and i completely removed the yellow.

for interior, underhood areas i would go with the body color or whatever color to accent but for the underneath white looks really sharp in person! i finally picked up a digital camera so in the next few days when the engine is back in i will take some good quality neon pictures

good luck.

Yeah I knew you were joking, but some people might have not known and actually tried it, people have done stupider things (eg. the guy with the VW that sanded his car with 60 grit to get a scratch out)

sounds like a nice idea....definately easier as well as cheaper then having a few kits like my own.

however 400 for a kit i would have to see it in person as that's a bit much to chance. wheel kits are pricey as well...

On my teal camaro i have the green underbody kit and i think it looks really good. Unfortunately i dont have a digital camera but im hoping ot finish off the roll of pix tonite w/my neon shots on it...maybe in a few days i'll have pics to post. If you go to cardiscountstereos.com, they have the streetglow kits for 160 delivered..half the price anywhere else. Just be careful..if you break a bulb, its a pain in the @$$ to get it replaced under warantee through them. I've manage to twice so far, but its been a hastle. Then again, for the price i guess it was worth it

Whats so cool about neons? I used to want them back when I was in high school. Lol, my car has been an electrical gremlin in the past so I am weary about adding anything else to my electrical system.

I don't mind seeing neons though. White neons would be interesting though. I'd like to see that.

I've seen one import with white underbodies, and it's definitely an eye-catcher cause it's so bright. I like the way it looks, especially on a white car.

110-180 is an average price range for the streetglow gold series. if you want the best that's the kit to get.

i paid 160 for my kits and there is a dealer in my area so warranty work is handled as easy as walking in with the broken part and straight out. call streetglow and see if there is a dealer near you. even if it's an hour drive it's worth it for the warranty fact.

good luck.

Ok guys, thanks for all the info. All of you have different opinions about what would look best. So I guess the only thing for me to do is actually see a vehicle with white neons and judge it myself. Thanks again for all the posted pics and the info, amigos.

I thought i'd grown out of wanting neons. My old car was purple and i had purple neons under the seats and purple dice that lit up on the rear view, I was gonna get an underbody kit but it got totalled. Ive got em under the seats now..but need to change the color, the white looks friggin awesome tho

Im sure it does, do you have a pic of the red to compare. I bet the white would look even better if it was lowered a little more..

do a search and you'll find more pictures of red and yellow that i have. my cpu is down right now so i can't get pictures.

as far as the brightness.....the higher the vehicle (to a degreee) the brighter they will shine. in that picture the car is just about as low as you can go and still drive it.
