In desperate need of wheel advice

Hey all-
I've been pondering the wheel question for some time now and usually I can come to some kind of conclusion but I'm REALLY stuck!
My IROC is dark red - the sort of rusty-red color - interior is tan and the pinstriping and emblems are gold or have gold in them. There isn't a stitch of silver on it. I don't think silver or chrome rims will look all that good but maybe I'm wrong - and it really limits my options too.

So - pitch in, speak out and post your opinion as to what might look good.

I'm considering a set of GTA rims - silver and gold combo - are these rims any good or to be avoided?

Please pitch in and do post pics of dark red cars with other than stock rims if you have 'em.

Thanks, Kevin

im not a huge fan of chrome but both chrome and polished rims (<--- my preference) look good on any colour car. Personally im not a fan of coloured rims.

Any other opinions out there?

camarogirl18 - nice ride, looks great. I know what you mean about now other chrome - but you don't have any gold pin stripes either - mine are the balck and gold combo due to the dark red ext and tan int. That is the only reason why I don't think chrome would very good. Any pulling the stripes is no an option, it's got to stay original appearing for me - just me.....

19doug90 - don't have any experience with polished rims - how much work are they in your experience? Seems like a bit of a PITA having to polish them all the time.

Any other opinions out there are more than welcome---

Heh i dont have any experience with them either but i dont think theyre that bad to maintain as the polish is permanent so they dont need to be polished. I'm sure youve heard of boyd coddington wheels? Well those are polished....here is a thing right off the faq at their web site.

Q: How do I clean my Wheels?
A: Since B. Coddington wheels are polished, only soap and water is needed to clean your wheels. Do not use any chemical based cleaners as they can damage the polish.

I think a set of GTA wheels would look great on your car. Check out TDS at the top of the page. Lonsal has an iroc with them.

it all depends on how you want your car to look. stock rims that are in great shape show a clean and classic look but they won't stand out. while nice thirdgens are fading every day only the true enthusiasts will notice a clean set of stock wheels.

wheels can make or break your car, good luck with your choice.

heh shut your mouth kandied =) you just say that because you know you made a good choice and your wheels make your car but youre right and its funny because a good set of wheels shouldnt really "stand out" they should blend in to the over all line of the car yet they completly make or break the entire look of your ride.

Try finding Kirban wheels Enkei or American Racing (These are the wheels people put on their Grand Nationals, Phoney GNX wheels)

or you can find a set of GTA wheels
