Security for my blackouts

Hey I just got my blackouts put on my Camaro and they just stay on with the velcro they came with and someone can easily take them off to steal them. So what can I do or what did everyone else do so that people won't be able to steal them so easily thanks

ive been TOLD that you want to screw them in so they dont fly off...

id assume that would help with security too..... unless they have a screwdriver.

On the RS I used to have I superglued the velco together. I never had anyone steal them....but then I doubt anyone actually tried. So I couldn't vouch for my method. I did not opt for the the screw-on kind because I wouldn't want to permanently mar my car.

Strictly speaking, if someone really wants them - they'll probably get them.

Did yall have to drill pilot holes in them before screwing them down, so that they don't crack when screwing them in? I had a set and I used the 2sided tape used for door molding.it was very hard to get the blackouts off,heh heh cracked one of my tailights trying to do that.

i agree.....if your going to screw them in go to a junkyard and pick yourself up some cheap used taillights. if you have ever had to purchase new ones you'll quickly realize why.

i had blackouts front and back on my car back in the day when i was in highschool and never had a problem with the rears coming off, the front was a different story entirely. just use enough velcro on the back and you should be good.

just like it was posted....if someone wants something bad enough they will get it and if not they will break it. is it really worth it?

I had mine stolen one night while I was at a basketball game, I haven't gotten any new ones yet but I have been told you can use epoxy to just glue them to your tail lights and I have also been told that you can use the glue from a windshield installation kit, my only fear with these methods is when somebody tries to rip them off and they break and then you're driving around with broken covers glue to your tail lights.

why not make it easy and take them off when you park your cars in more risky areas???
