Ditto for me please. And if anyone has any shots of a 315/35/17 on a 17x9 wheel please let me know.

I have a guy around here who assures me that you can fit a 315 on a 17x9 wheel. I'd love to do it but want to make sure it'll fit on my car.

Well, NO manufacturer will recommend that you put a 315 on under a 10.5 inch rim. It's just not safe.

2" Adapters on all four (18 x 9.5"), the rims are about the same specs as 4th gen rims (they bolt up to 4th gens no problem).

Why isn't it safe? Not trying to be ignorant, I said the same thing.

What size tires are you running on those? Those are AFS Z06 replicas, right?

Imagine going though a turn and the tire bead coming loose from your wheel. Not pretty. A low profile tire like that with that wide of a section width will not seat properly on a narrower rim. You can go to www.tirerack.com and they have manufaturer's specs on all tires they sell. I looked at about all of the 316/35/17 specs, and manufacturers reccommended either a 10.5 inch or 11 inch MINIMUM rim width.

Yeah, it was a no brainer for me to go with polished aluminum over chrome. Here's a few reasons why; chrome can peel, if chrome is damaged, odds are the whole wheel will need to be rechromed, chrome is "gaudy", you can polish aluminum to look about like chrome anyway. Yeah, the polished will dull faster, but if you really wanted you could clear coat them. Anyway, they fit awesome, and never rub in the rear, the front rubs if you're not responsible (potholes or speedbumps too fast) but will not rub otherwise. They stick out just far enough to look beefy but not ghetto; simply put they're bad ***. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Good ! With the brakes a little further away from the rim, I bet it will keep ALOT of brake dust off the wheels. It's probably alot easier to keep the wheels clean that way!

Is it just me or do they look rattle-canned? Such a pretty rim hidden in black...

The front ground effect looks like it may have been rattle canned, but the wheels look awesome.

I love black-on-black

no one knew i had baer brakes until i put the new billet wheels on. unless you absolutely love a wheel design adapters aren't worth it. they hinder your performance, cause problems mechanically and don't look quite right.

now if you have ugly brakes maybe they are your answer...anyone looking i still have a set of almost 2-1/4 skulte adapters for sale. just email me.

I'm wanting to go with the 17x9.5 Y2K Vette wheels from Performance wheel outlet in all the chevy mags. They say they have a variety of offsets, what offset should I try to get and do I want 2" or 2.25" adapters and I need four adapters too, right?

Oh and is the 275/40/zr17 the best size to go with for close speedo calibration and widness to fit?

Thanks

tpiroc, have you considered getting longer axles and whatever's needed up front to put the brakes closer to the wheel? I'm trying to find gray z06 rims like yours, and plan on upgrading just about everything in my car, so I think this would be a better option than spacers. What do you think?

My friend was running 315/35/17 Nitto DR's on a 17x9.5" SS wheel. Sidewalls stuck out a bit and the rear felt really loose.

I had another person tell me that as well. I guess I'll stick to 275/40/17s all around then. At least I'll be able to rotate tires again

Thanks for the pics with 2.25" wheel adapters too. I like how they look. Time to get a set
