present pics of the motor.

Haven't actaully made a thread in forever so I figure I'd make one showing off my motor LOL. I've put super conductors as well as Edelbrock 1 5/8s TES headers in, painted the radiator mount aluminum & the valve covers black plus I got a digi cam so I may as well use it! Any comments are welcome, positive or negative. Here we go!

1. straight on pic of motor.

Sweet ride man! Can I ask you, with your ported TPI setup and SLP Runners, how does the car pull up top? What RPM does she fall on her face at?

The jet coat looks sweet; it ought to serve well for under-hood temperatures. Slick heater delete too It looks like a real mean engine!

Duplicolor 500 degree high temp engine paint gloss black.

The knock sensor is bypassed due to false knock cause by my headers setup, plus I run premium gas and don't knock.

camera belongs to my friend, Olympus 2.0 megapixel.

EVERY TIME I post an engine pic someone mentions the overflow tank. Find me a cheap clean overflow tank and I'll get it LOL.

$14.50 - Works great! And oddly it was the only thing that some jerks tried to steal under the hood when my car was broken into

I would imagine that would look wierd under the hood, out of place, if you have any pics of your engine witht he over flow tank I'd be more than thankful to see them so i get an idea of how it looks under the hood.

looks good only sugestion would be polish the plenum and runners, that would look real sweet. and you can still get the overflo bottel and washer bottle from gm and classic ind.

The plenum is polishable but the SLP runners would take forever and a day, thats why I decided not to do it.

GM & classic ind. are way over priced, but thanks for trying to help.

Nice engine bay 5Siz. I would go with a new stock overflow like this one from Hawks:
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...l?v=1&pid=9524

I can't agree more with your remarks about the summit bomb looking out of place under hood.

I bought mine from gmpartsdirect.com but do not have the part #handy. Hawk's looks like it would fill the bill nicely- probably the same stuff.

Best-

Very clean man. Looks really good. Here is another suggestion, take it as you will....try to get some spark plug wire seperators and have them hug the valve cover. You have a pretty clean engine bay and i think it would look even cleaner with the wires nice and neat and together. Just a thought! later

You should route the spark plug wires a little nicer, but other than that, it looks pretty good!

Here's how I ran my wires:

It looks pretty good to me; it's a real eye catcher - it looks pretty "serious"

Sorry the pic doesn't show it better, but I hope this is helpful. A blue one would look sharp on your car

doesn't look as bad as I thought, much smaller than I imagined.

yea i really do need to get some wire seperators, the wires are actually made for a corvette, but for $10 bucks you can't beat it!

I like the way black wires look better on some vehicles. I had the yellow accels on my car for a while and I traded them for some black ones. They don't stick out quite so much. But then again, I would love to have some red msd ones.

Of course the people tht were screwed out of their money are going to be LOOKING for you to make a post about your car. That way they can point out that you're a deadbeat buyer.... Not a deadbeat buyer? then get on the phone, and get some PROOF that it was lost or whatever...

Payment has just been sent to him, I hope everything goes well.

I have a good rep. on these boards and do not like having people make me look bad. I know you care about your friend or else you wouldn't have cared, but everything is taken care of now so I hope we can all get past this as if it never happened.
