17 or 18 ROH

just like to topic says. I am going to buy ROH RT Black Ice rims. Eather 18x9 or 17x9. I can't decide. I know most of the pros of going with a 17 over 18, like more traction and less chance of denting a wheel. and all in all the 17s will be 300 less than if I went with 18s. I am going to put them on my daily driver 92 RS. I also like seeing a little side wall like on the 17s. I looked at a 02 TA WS6 today at a dealership "drool" and it has really nice 17s. But If I go with 17s I just don't want to be dissapointed and wish I would have went with 18 for a little more $.
Let me hear some opinions.

Dont forget too- tires are going to be cheaper if you go with the 17s over the 18s. If something like that is important to you...

I went with the 17x8.5

ture, that's why I said all in all it will be 300 cheaper. 100 less for the rims and 200 less for tires. I plan on going with Kumho 712 ECSTA Supra tires

Ah, ok. I thought the 300 was just in the wheels. Factor in how long your tires will last- that might be an extra 200 every year or two. (not sure how often/how hard you drive the car)

17s ALL the way

in that profile of rims 18 would look to big. but 275 on 17s would look sweet

go 18's..... why? you had 18s, it would be to hard to get use to 17s.

It's a done deal, I ordered them yesterday. If I really don't like them I will probably eventualy get 18s but I have seen the 17s on a mustang and I though they were 18s at first. and my old 18s had a lot of vibration. So I should get better handling (no side roling) and not as much vibrations as with 18s. I really wanted to see the two sizes side by side to compair but I will still be happy with them.
