any way to make these headlights work?

i bought a pair of silverstars #4656 the other day but didnt realize my car takes 4666 because of the different connection. anyway i can make this work without changing connectors?

the new silverstar is on the left (4656) and one of my old lights is on the right (4666). you can see one pin is set at a different angle.

i already have a set of silverstars installed in the car and i'd like to make these work in case one burns out.

P.S. i know i could return 'em but these were the very last pair in the store (they were tryin to get rid of 'em) and i only paid 2 bucks for 'em.

I don't know if I understand your logic....so you want to keep them because one might burn out? Do you plan for that happening soon? If you already have a set I'm sure you'd be fine and I"m sure that they'll get a new shipment in. $2 isn't too much to lose...just buy the one you need when you need it. I wouldn't know if you could still use those.

As long as they fit in the same bracket, I dont see why they wont work. You will have to go down to the parts store and get connectors that fit. I had a dare i say this, but i had a VW that i changed the headlights out of and put the factorys in when i go to sell it. When you get the connectors, just "parrallel" them with the factory connectors. then later on you can put the factory replacements back in!

or if you have access to a soldering iron you could just solder the wires onto the connectors....dont see why that wouldnt work

yea i think i will keep 'em and make 'em work somehow. it's only one pin that's off. shouldn't be too hard to get it to work.

you could just take apart your connector and then hook each connection to the posts... you'd probably have to put something on there so they stayed connected well, and it would be a pta to get em back off....or you could just buy new connectors

that sounds easy. i'll have to take a look at how the connectors are next time i'm replacing a bulb. i plan to keep using silverstar bulbs and dont wanna pay full price next time i need one (or two).

and how would you connect them....with soldering lol like i said above. I work at a place called racetronix and we make fuel harnesses for fuel systems up grades and i spend a good portion of my time there soldering wires to connectors and in some odd cases to uhh its not a relay whats that stupid yellow thing th C5's need lol anyways soldering is so damn easy a 3 y/o could do it, theyre not expensive to buy, you could just take the connector apart and solder the wires on. Would work perfectly if you ask me, id probably cover the connection with some heat shrink though just for good measure
