was there gfx on 87 sc's?
i just bought a 1987 SC camaro from a guy named Jimmy Biggs in DE for $300. all i know about the car is that it is a hard top with a v6/auto. and it runs! which is even better cause i need a new daily driver. i will be putting the hotrodded 310/700r4/3.73 combo in it at the end of the summer. i am totally pumped about the car coming together. i need to know (since i have not seen pics of the car, it's from a buddy of mine that knows his stuff, he was looking for a car for me.) whether or not it has gfx. mainly it will make deciding on wheels better. if it is a gfx car then i am putting a set of those new slp thirdgen specific zr-1's on it. if it is a non-gfx car then i am putting fatties and skinnies on it. i like both looks equally so this will be the deciding factor. if anyone has pics of an 87 SC...please post pics!

the only year you'll find ground effects on base sport coupes was 1988. after that the RS took over as the base model, which also came with ground effects.

my 87 sc did not come with ground effects. and from what i know none of them did, only the RS Z28 and the IROC got GFX. might be a special car, but most likely it does not have GFX. uhh the car would look good either way, so do what you want with it.

alright, fatties and skinnies it is! i like the way a non gfx car looks when it's lowered just a little with bigs/littles. here is a car from here that looks good, needs smaller front wheels/tires though.

that car looks awesome! i think that it would look very nice with all the same stuff, but with the front lowered a little bit. has to have the rake look you know?

hey red, could you post a pic of your car...assuming that is a red 87 sc, just like mine. i will probably paint it with a fresh coat of red though as mine is peeling. (remember, i have not seen this car yet, just going on my good friends word)
