What is the best way to keep windows streak free?

I have tried using all kinds of different window cleaners that claim to be streak free, but they always leave a bunch of streaks everywhere.

It drives me crazy to look at my windows in the daylight and see a bunch of streaks.

If anyone has any tips or advice I would greatly appreciate it.

newspapers, dont use paper towels or anything, use newspapers.

And a lot of it depends on the stuff you are using. You can buy this really good stuff at costco. I dont know the name of it, but it has like a waterfall on it with a bunch of trees. It is excellent.

If you use the California water blade on the outside of the windows when you wash the car it works very good on not causing streaks after it dries

Have you ever tried "Invisible Glass"? That stuff worked great for me. One day I was driving with the windows up in my old RS, and because the sun was at a certain angle there was no glare or reflections on my passenger side window, I honestly could not tell the glass was even there, it was amazing.

And yes, dry it with newspapers and make sure you get all of it off. If any is left on, it will leave streaks.

As Andy said, I recommend Invisbible Glass, it's a product made by Stoner...all of their products work VERY well....I highly recommend them. You can get them at Wal-Mart or a local auto store.

It doesn't leave any streaks at all.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've been using Armoral Auto Glass Cleaner on mine. Damn it sucks.

I never thought of using newspapers to dry my windows with, but I have used a water blade and those things are great.

BTW, are you guys using newpapers to dry? Or are you using them to apply this "invisible glass" as well?

armor all sucks in any product form it's in......its no wonder your having problems.

i use gm glass cleaner and newspaper but the newspaper isn't even necessary with it. very good stuff! i go over it with a rain-x glass polish and buff. if your window is clean and you use the right products you shouldn't even notice the glass is there.

Thats why I didn't mention the company name in my post

johnjm22:

Spray the glass cleaner on the window and use newspaper to wipe it off. I didn't mean to dry the car with it.
