Why Formula nose got Bigger holes?

I believe the actually opening size is the same, but the TA bumper has more material and goes in deeper than the Formula bumper giving the appearance that the Formula openings look larger.

No formulas came with foglights... That is the front fascia for a non-foglight-equipped formula or base-model firebird (the ones with the foglights are part of the W68 Aero Package for 91-92 birds)...

I used a spring loaded cutting tool and a magnum cutting knife the open up on both sides of the license plate and it gave me more room to add 2 more foglights and the engine gets more air flow ,so there is enough room to work around ,but I did cut a little into the impact absorber too,to secure the second set of lights ,but it does get alot of attention!
