id like to see a close up...im not sure i have mixed opinions

Really doesn't look that bad, but i myself prefer shinny chrome

 

I just wanted to do something different than what everyone else was doing.The wheels were too badly nicked and scratched up to polish or chrome them so just painted them.Sometime this year or next I'm going to get stock replacments anyway,possibly aftermarkets but doubtful.

 

looks pretty decent. is the paint waxable? maybe just give it a shine like the body.

 

You need to paint the 2 valleys in each spoke a gloss black. That would be saweet
Also, shine 'em up a bit too

 

They are shiney,and will be shinnier when I put on a clearcoat,it's just not in those pics since they are kinda dark.I'll try and take better pics tomorrow when I have time and it's sunny outside.

No not waxable yet,haven't put a clearcoat on them yet.They are shiney as they are now though.

 

Nice dude. My car is white with black trim including the wheels. (all black paintwork was performed by my wife) Pics soon.

 

Those wheels, id just polish, and paint the insert red..

I would have like to but as I had previously mentioned they are too scratched and nicked up to be polished.

Thanks for you all's opinion,both good and bad.

 

I like body colored rims, but I don't like red as much. maybe if the lip of your rims was polished it would look better to me.

 

I thought they would look a little more like this than with the harsh black lines and I think you might like them a little better too.

 

i think that there is way to much red. Color contrast really makes a car stand out. when you blend the color to a car and make it all the same the car sits there, nothing jumps out at you.

 

Paint the middle bars in the spokes black, not the outline of it.

It's a shame if you ask me, it's a sharp looking car that's had its look (and wheels) ruined... sorry man.

 

That last pic is kinda cool...better than all red. Plus it will be different for sure.

 

If it was my experiment, I'd just paint the entire wheel red and not leave the lip unpainted. The last picture with the black "stripe" down each spoke looks kinda cool.

 

Well the wheels were in bad shape so nothing was ruined exactly..car needs painting too.

Not a big fan of red at all but, those don't really look too bad.

THAT was my other choice but I had more red on hand than black. Looks great on your car though.

There is a guy in town with a Red IROC with those wheels painted completely black.. looks interesting at very least. I will be powder coating or (???) my wheel's black soon enough.

They look ok, I would definately prefer all black with black heritage stripes tho. And I wouldn't paint the center spoke a different color, I was playing around with it when taking the tape off mine and thought it looked neat for a second and then decided they'd look like clown wheels...

Where in Louisiana are you located??? Are you in a third gen club?? I was offered to get in a club, but it was in Metarie....Too far for me.

Well right now I'm in Harvey,La but possibly I may be soon moving to Slidell,not sure yet. I'm not in any car club right now but I used to be in one,got bored with it and some of the people in it I didn't care for being associated with.
I took a look at your site and I tell you what you have a nice '89formula,good hood choice.My brother was looking at a black formula similar to your's but the guy was asking too much for it.It was going to be a replacment for his wrecked '84T/A .Nice to see someone else from Louisiana and thanks for the compliment and opinion.

imo the car looks awesome,though i think it looked better without the red rims.

 

I does look better in person than in those pics but anyway like I've said before I'm going to get stock replacments Oh yeah I even have a set of '85-87 IROC wheels and Centerline convo pros in my garage. ....so then I can please everyones' tastes.:lala:

 

At first it doesn't look that good, but the more I look, the better it looks. I espically like the black accent lines.
