No more blue stripe..
What do you guys think? I took 20 minutes to quickly wash the car today after removing the blue stripe. The ground effects have been picked up and will go on next week.
I already have my opinion, just wanted to see what you guys thought even though you won't change my mind
More pics are on my webpage and Cardomain page, links are in the sig.

Well, now heres the story. My plan was to remove it when I put the new ground effects on and if I liked it without it, I was going to keep it off. If I didn't like it, I was gonna put a new one on. I definately like it a lot without the stripe. However, upon taking it off, I discovererd that whoever repainted the car before painted over the old stripe. Yes, thats right, over. So you can see a line where the sticker is under the paint
. I couldn't see this before cause the stripe covered it. And since I don't have the money to repaint the whole car, I am going to have to put a new stripe back on to cover up someone else's half-assed job.
But when the time comes to repaint the car, there will be no stripe.
Trans Am #5: I picked up all the pieces except the nose on Thursday. The nose needs so be totally stripped and repainted because of the spiderwebbing. Overall, the parts came out pretty good. There was some orangepeel on the grille, but Jeff said he'll respray it for me when he does the nose.

The blue stripe looks better stock IMO...but with the ground effects it might look better without it. Funny how sometimes a slight deviation from stock throws it off.
Unless you go crazy like Kandied...LOL

I liked the stripe as well so I'm not that disappointed that I have to put it back on. I'm more disappointed that someone painted over the old stickers.

I think the blue stripe was a nice classy touch, without being overstated. It was subtle, yet changed the look of the car. I would put it back on in a second.

I always liked the blue stripe on your car. It is a color you dont see that often. Was the IROC sticker on the door always gray though? I thought i was blue. The red stripe cars have a red IROC logo... Either way, it looks cooler then my silver stripe

I like the silver stripes better.
Matches the color and the rest of the car better IMO. Breaks up all the black. Yes, the IROC-Z stickers were still silver when used with that stripe.

I'm partial to solid black with no stripes. Black makes a classy statement of its own, no need for accents. That said, I enjoy seeing colors on other people's cars though.
The red stripe on black has sort of a mysterious "dark" look, and the blue stripe on black seems to have an illusionary effect.
But if I HAD to have the stripe, I agree with IROCZTWENTYGR8, silver would be my choice to coordinate with the "IROC-Z" decals.
Your car looks very nice, so whatever you decide, it will look excellent.
