Finally Ordered My Wheels!
I have my Torque Thrust II's coming in a few days, man am I excited! I was hoping you guy s could lend me your advice.....As soon as I put them on, should I apply a wax of some-sort to protect them? What do you reccomend? Also I just put new brake pads on, and dust is everywhere. W/out using dust shields, is there another method of reducing the dust? Thanx as always!

Great to hear it man, great feeling huh? I just put in a order for my C5's yesturday, was told just now that I'll have them by friday. Thumbs up to thunderracing.com.
And it couldnt hurt to go ahead and add something to the rim to protect it, I plan on it myself.

I had the same problem with my C5 wagon wheels. You might want to try using some ceramic brake pads (was suggested to me, I cant confirm how well it would qwell the brake dust problem.
Does anyone know where or who sells those back plates that are supposed to protect rims from brake dust ? With all the bling bling in the world, someone is bound to have made a solution for it.

I had ordered them from Jegs, not a good experience
Font 17x8 w/ 245/45/17 4.5in backspacing/ Rear 17x9.5 w/ 275/40/17 w/ 5.5-or-5.75 backspacing I can't remember, I can find out for you! Went w/ the Khumo Ecsta Supra 712's! Great combo, and I love the tread on these tires, very aggresive looking, and grip very well!!!

Yeah, youve got a nice looking ride. I am interested in the backspacing on the rears if you find your receipt. Your car has got the perfect look to it, IMO
Ok, just got off Jegs site, found this for the front:
17X8 w/4.5 backspacing PN- 286-505-7861
But their sizes for the 17X10 dont come close as far as bolt circle/backspacing. Is it a special order item? Thanks.

Hey Iroc Magman, Thank you for the kind words. The backspacing that I used in the rear was a 5.5! Once I installed the tires, the rear passenger wheel did rub! I'm currently getting that fixed w/ an adjustable panhard rod, and new shocks/struts!!! Hope that shoudl do the job! Hope that was of help!!!!
