i learned the same thing man... well my last car wasnt recked but it was weird that my tires were going bolled pretty fast then i eventualy cought on when i herd from other peeps in toun... " hey man that was a bad *** burn out i saw your car do the other day" now no one touches my new iroc but me. my friends can drive there POS dime a dozen grocery getters that there momys and dadys bought and pay for the insurence for them, while i had to buy my own car with my own hard earned money and i have to save and save to just get the dam thing on the road...
moral of the story is dont let friends drive your car i only let my women take my car if she wants to but she never wants to very much so its all good.

i have to say the same for me, the only people i let drive my car is my mom, since she has like 50 years of driving experience. i only let my best guy friend drive if i'm in the car with him. and i do NOT let my girlfriend drive..

The only person who has driven my car (without me in it) was my mom one day when my dad I needed to go to a junkyard so we needed her truck. The first thing she did: spill coffee all over my passenger seat

i would let my mom drive my car, but she doesnt want to.. it scares her.
when i was in high school, after i put the 400sb in my 82, i let her drive it for a day....
she never wanted to drive any of my camaros again. all she said somthing along the lines of too much power. it was mostly the 14" tires on it... the motor made alot of TQ and it spun the rear tires at a lil over quarter throttle from a stop.. it wasnt fast, but fun... lil tricky in the rain.
i let a very very select few drive my car. all of them have/drive V8 rwd cars and are as fast or faster then me.. they wont go around the block and do a burnout... they drive my car more carefully then their own, and i do the same with theirs. i wont even punch it unless theyre in the car and tell me to.

I let my inner circle friends (friends you've known for years and hang out all the time) drive my Formula. I am not worried about it since they have the money to buy me a replacement car with all the mods, and I know they won't hot rod my car. My parents have no desire to drive my cars.

Well i was riding shotty and second gear spun the tires hard he lost control and hit some rocks right before the woods at 40mph. The frame might not be twisted but i dont think it will ever ride the same again. Insurance isnt giving me anything as i dont have collision, just liabilty

man i hear that.........very sorry to tho. my dad has driven my car once.......that was to the mall (he took it w/out asking when i was gone) and managed to rearend a camry doing about 40 and totaled my old rs. thank G0D i have a bodyman in the family!!!
Well I let people i know well and people who have proven they can drive a stickshift drive my car.....
I would NEVER, under NO circumstances let anyone take it out of normal operating range and try to spin the tires or accelerate fast......
Every single car reacts differently in those conditions and no matter how good the driver is, if they are driving someone else's car, they don't know what to expect......

I think we discussed this several months ago?
My last class for college is over June 28, and then I am out of this city.
I have been all over Texas (exception El Paso and Brownsville) and out of every city I have been in, I have never seen more incompetent drivers than in Lubbock.
Some people say "yea well what about Dallas drivers, they suck". No, they might pull dangerous maneuvers from time to time, but usually they are SUCESSFUL at it. Lubbock drivers try to drive, but they just can’t, simple as that.

you want to go over 8 lanes? you can.
people actually LOOK IN THEIR MIRRORS before they change... because there could be a car going 40mph faster coming up on either side...
they drive in a agressive-defencive manner..... that is, they boldly state, im going over into this lane... and do it. if someone didnt see them going, they're ready for it and will hold back, but they still boldly say IM GOING HERE... none of this bullsh!t "i dont know what im doing" crap.
i hate driving in the south.
you end up at a 4 way intersection where they're all being "polite" and saying "no... after YOU.".... idiots, if you jsut went when you're suppost to, EVERYONE would go faster...
and heres another thing.
YELD = MERGE
YELD != STOP
and thats REALLY annoying when they have a entire lane to pull into so they can be at speed and merge...
ugh. i wish everyone drove like they do in dallas... short of a accident blocking 8 lanes, massive amounts of traffic flow easily thru there.

That pretty much sums it up.
I forgot about the drivers that sit at a red light waiting to turn right. YOU CAN TURN RIGHT ON A RED LIGHT DUMB MFS. Honking never works.

Damn sorry to hear what happened.
You guys should try driviing in the uk. Muppets on roundabouts who don't indicate. Prats who tailgate you on motorways (in the UK you can only overtake on the right). They always seem to be BMW and Merc drivers. Plonkers the lot of em

Muppets (i doubt you were referring to the puppets on TV)
Prats (??)
Plonkers?? (no idea what that means. never even heard that one)
btw, in the US, you can only pass on the left. well. legally, you can only pass on the left. its never ever, ever, ever enforced. and people will weave in and out of traffic... but then again, idiots sit in the fast lane, so that you cannot pass them any other way.
i love driving in europe. not because there are rules, but because people follow them better then in the US. if im flying up coming behind you, they actually LOOK IN THE MIRROR and move aside... they even use their turn signal when they do it.
i also love how they have a valid drivers test. you actually have to be able to drive competently before you recieve your license.
in the US... anywhere in the US... you fill out the 10-50 question MULTIPLE CHOICE quiz...(yes, some states only have 10 questions) and they say here: go learn how to drive on the street....
then after you drive for a couple weeks/months, the person just rides with ya, checks off that you used your turn signal and checked the mirrors... and you can drive...
heh. im ranting again. arnt i?
its like the 3rd time today..
its friday and im edgy.

Paying for gas (petrol) in the UK is a nightmare and I can only afford to own a Camaro due to the fatc I can walk to work and the car is only used at weekends.
We have loads of nice abusive terms for annoying people. Muppets, *****, donuts, numptys, plonkers and prats are just a few.
Can be quite funny confusing you yanks sometimes.
But then when I was in the States I had a mare of a time understanding people with a very strong Californian accent.

But then when I was in the States I had a mare of a time understanding people with a very strong Californian accent. cali has a accent? lol, you think its confusing there, try living in the south. here its ebonics and redn3cks with a southern accent that dont know english.
go farther inland and people can talk without their top lip ever touching the bottom one. scary.
go upnorth to jersey and new york, and you'll learn all kinds of new abusive terms. sign language too.
from there, skip east to boston or anywhere around Mass and you'll hear the slightly slured together northern/boston accent...
they all seem to confuse people at times.... athough ive traveled around enough that i can understand most of them easily.
