Clear sidemarkers.. and finally some pics of my car.

I bought a set of clear sidemarkers from procarparts through ebay. They used to include amber bulbs according to the posts I could dig up here, but apparently they no longer do. Not a problem at all, just noting it. They came packaged very well and arrived on time. Installation was a breeze. Driver's side is easier if you unbolt the horn, and passenger side is easier if you move the battery out of the way, but either one is not really necessary if you feel like reaching from under the car. Anyway, here are the pics.

me neither. I'm looking at the hyper black SLP wheels as a good hold-over before getting some Boyds. Money's tight, so feel free to donate. When I get the SLPs, I'm going to paint these stockers gray, get new trim rings for them, and put on some Blizzaks for the lovely winters we get over here.

They were about $30 for the pair; you may be able to find them for a few bucks cheaper. Installation is very easy. Take out the bulbs, unlatch the lens, replace. Getting to the latches is a bit tricky from the top unless you unbolt the horn on the driver's side and move the battery out of the way on the passenger side, both of which are 5 second jobs. Otherwise, you can reach them from under the car.

As for tinting, I may go that route eventually with these. I like them clear better than amber, but they stick out on a black car. We'll see what happens.

Now you just need to get the clear front blinkers to finish it off.

Definitely, but it won't happen for quite a while. I plan to swap on 91-92 ground effects which require a different front bumper cover, which in turn use different turn signals. But I have plenty more to worry about first.

Yeah I was just thinking the same thing. The white Z looks great with them, but I'd only do it if I could take care of all four. No sense to me in making the front look clean while the back still has the red.

I like that Sport coupe look for some reason, I think its neat to see one. Just like seeing a stock Berlinetta, rare. You always see the rims, and GFX on these cars. Not saying I dont like rims and GFX as I have them, but the base line look is good. Plus you might surprise a few Z28's that think your a 2.8 Sport coupe

Joe_L: Yeah, a LOT of people ask me if it's the V6. I've been driving around without a muffler and rear interior for the last two weeks; it is loud and sounds horrendous but the car moves surprisingly quick with a little weight loss and open exhaust. I almost kept up with a Mazda 6 the other night!

nick418: I did have a lot of plans for everything on this car up until a week ago. Now I'm in the process of getting a teal 92 RS to turn into my real project car. I think I'm going to rebuild the LG4 (gasp heard from the performance *****) and keep this car 100% stock (cheers heard from the stock *****) except for the subframe connectors that are already welded on (which should've been stock to begin with). This car is an almost fully loaded SC and I think it would be great to keep it around the way it is.

So, soon enough, I'll be half stock **** troller and half performance freak.
