cant find this style hood scoop

ok, now i know that this is going to get flamed more than anything else, but im going to go for it.

I am looking for a very simple hood scoop for my rs, everything ive seen online is either huge or overstyled.

The only model i have for what im looking for is the old rx-7 hood (wait for sounds of outrage to dwindle) No, i dont want to model my car after the rx-7, i just want the very plain and square scoop that i saw on it. If anyone could help me id greatly appreciate it. Thank you

pictures included (as if it wasnt bad enough)

thats a shweet lookin RX7! Can't dig the wheels though. The hood scoop might look ok on a thirdgen. Kinda like an 80's version of the SS hood.

They are really easy to make.

All you need is a cutting wheel for a grinder, a permant marker, some fiberglass filler and a little bit of your paint color matched up in a spray can.

My buddy and I did an inversed style one on his 240sx to get more air into his intercooler

in my opinion this scoop does not belong on a camaro or firbird/trans am for that matter. it doesn't mix with the rest of the car i think but i mean hell do what makes ya feel good i guess just my two cents

i was hoping to drop in to the photoshop board and get a feel for it before anything else. The thing that made me pick this one out was the same thing that lead me to these body styles. I like the paradoxical (to put it as confusing as possible) I looked at the monte carlos and the gran nationals, but they were too boxy, I looked at the firebirds and trans ams, but they were too streamline (for my tastes that is) but the third gen camaro is the best of both worlds. It features a streamline look(over fenders, hatch glass, hood profile) with squared off features (rs ground effect package, front end, rear, etc) IMO this, or another hood style like it, suites that aspect of the car very well. I know, I'm no expert, and if it was meant to be GM would have put it on their themselves, but i (at least in my minds eye) can see this complimenting the RS bodystyle.

Then again, ill find out for sure if i can get it photoshopped

well in a classic moment, when i went searching for pics of a car similar to mine for the photoshop board, i came across this:

its hard to see and it doesnt look exactly the same but its enough to peak my interest, and probably stay off of many of your S*** lists

the owner lists it as a stock 82 z28 hood

if anyone can confirm and/or supply a better picture, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again everyone

ok, after airpak and techsmurf were kind enough to photoshop this for me I have come to the realization that i must be on something.

AlbertaFBody was right, that hood does not belong on these cars. Now i just have to find another thats supposed to go on these cars . Thank you all for putting up with my bout of maddness.

Yes, it is offset. The Turbo II scoop is 100% functional and placed based entirely on intercooler placement.. and since the intercooler isn't centered...

Also, no credit for me on the photoshop job... I just made a quick change to help Airpak learn the tricks of the trade.

yea that's a stock Z28 hood... you usually see the indented areas (actually kinda hard to spot in the picture) painted flat black, maybe why you don't recognize it.

At 1:45 into the ThirdGen Video II (the one with Rammstein as the background music), it shows a Camaro with a similar style scoop on it. It doesn't look half bad either.
