Pics of New Paint and Rims

After two weeks of work here is my new look. Its not completly finished as the spoiler and mirrors still need to be painted. It is burnt orange metallic with silver flames. Wheels are 15's, not my choice on size, but i had to have something different than the red wheels it had before. Let me know what you guys think. It also still needs to be wetsanded and buffed, but it came out pretty good.

kind of looks like someone stenciled those flames on there instead of ding them freehand.

i like the color scheme though

Looks good

On a side note, just wondering how it would look with the whole car done in the titanium colour used on the front end

Looks, awesome but IMO you should have drawn varying flames across the hood. It looks great from the side but on the hood its too uniform. Still a great looking car, wheels would really complete it.

PS: you dont see many with body color door handles.....

Looks good, but why didn't you make both sides the same? I like the way the passenger side fender looks better than the driver's side. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed.

I'm probably not the only one who noticed that nolan is putting a picture of his new wheels in every thread. The solution to everyone's appearance problem is, "You need the same wheels I have." We like them nolan, now stop.

Hey Nolan. I think you really want some GTA wheels. That's what you need.

Love the two-color overlapping flames! I almost thought my eyes were going bad and couldn't focus on them. Does the passenger side sidemarker still light up normally?

yeah, the flames should carry more towards the rear of the car and the hood is a little uniform, and some diff/bigger wheels would really set it off... but the paint job is very nice. It looks better than a LOT of paint jobs I've seen. Good Work

ya, i didn't really have much choice on the wheels, it was either those or the stock red z28 rims, and they're not a permanent solution, just a last minute temporary solution until i have the money for some 18 in boyds. and we were going to stencil the flames, but we ended up actually doing them freehand. the passenger side marker does light up and its actually a red color and gives a nice effect, and ya flames on the sides are a little different, it just kinda happened like that and it kinda makes it a little different. and on the flame colors, the bright silver ones were the first ones we put on, and well, with just those it looked kinda bare, so we did another set, but we didn't have any more silver paint, so we mixed some gold paint up a little bit and got it kinda of a silver look, and we ghosted those flames. oh and theres another thing that you can't really see in the pics, but before we shot the clear we misted some of that silver paint to give the orange a little flake to it, you know, all those little sparkles.

Wi$h,

I'd be happy to buy those rims off you if/when you get new ones. That is provided we can strike a good deal.

If I don't get new rims like yours or even Nolan's (yes, they are badass) I am going to get some GTA reproductions.

Little bigger rims and smaller side walled tires would make it look great.

I need to get some pictures of my car now. Looks awesome with the new paint. I'll admit it was a pretty cheap paintjob but not bad. If the guys that did it actually had a booth they could do a really nice job.

I really love that flame color and paint combo, very original looking. Rim size is a little unimpressive, but I do like the style of rims.

88Camaro350, I know I've said it before, but I love your car. I love the 16" TT2's.

I've heard some issues with there quality, but I think they look better than the smoothies. They look closer to the original cragars.

i agree with what was said about nolan's rims. i like them too but they aren't EVERYONE's solution to make their car look pimp. i was thinkin the same thing. but i really like the paint scheme used. to be honest, on paper, i really wouldn't have picked those colors, but seeing them on a car, i really do like them. i also like the body color door handles. the wheels do actually match it fairly well...

Everyone knows it not the size of the wheel that matters, it's how you use it!
