Well I finally got some good pics taken today. This is my 1992 RS with 61,000 miles on it. It is the 3.1 V6 automatic.

Beautiful car and beautiful color. Slap some 91-92 style 16 inch wheels on her and you are set as far as looks go.

 

I was going to put the 16 inch Z28 wheels on it but the refinished ones cost $1000, and a couple hundred more for tires. I needed new tires really bad and didn't have the money for the new rims so I just put new tires on the RS wheels. I actually like the RS wheels when they are clean, but I hate em when they get covered in brake dust which happens about an hour after I clean them

 

I like that color too!!! Like it so much I bought one.

Check the classified boards. You can get some of those in pretty good shape for a lot less than that. They won't look as good as refinished but the should be pretty good. Every now and then there is a set on there.

 

I think your paint is a little better than mine. How many miles do you have on the car?

 

Actually I have a set right now for sale that aren't in bad shape.

 

I bet you could find some Z28 rims for a couple hundred dollars. Look on the classifidies on this site, i see them on there all the time

My car just rolled 61,000 miles. The paint is very nice but it has probably been repainted at some point in it's life. Since I have owned the car i have replaced the front bumper cover and front spoiler and had them painted. i also had the hood repainted.

The dual snorkel was not stock. I have acutlly had two. One I got from IROCZDAVE (board member). The other I got from ebay. One I had plated in chrome and the other in black chrome.

My paint is pretty good too but also has some flaws. I would say for 12 yrs old it is in very good shape. And I think I just rolled 82,000 miles.

 

Purple Haze is a nice color. The 16" Z wheels will really set it off.

 

um i doubt that , the 92 rs also came with the 3.1 ...was it 90-92 that had the 3.1 option..? guys...

 

No I have not had my engine swapped it's original. In 1990 the V6 was upgraded from the 2.8 liter to the 3.1. It was not an option, it was the base engine.
