I usually am all for 85+ Z28's but that 84 is NNNNIIIICCCEEE...
A lot of us (myself included) look at 82-84 models and think "old; therefore must be a pile", but tat think is an EXCELLENT example of what they should look like...
The only odd thing is:

What the heck is all over the inner fenders and all of the other sheet metal in the engine bay?

i think that is oil that was sprayed on it for who knows what reason because look next to the door in this pic on the floor ...
it looks like the same stuff doesnt it

On a car with less than 5k miles, I doubt it'd need much "rust protection"... Especially being a garage queen as it appears to be.

mine is all concrete what you can see of it ...LOL...
and then theres the grease and grime everywhere .....LOL
too many hard nights pulling engines and oil, tranny fluid, antifreeze and who knows what spewed all over it ...LOL

I believe that would be a type of cosmoline you see on the fenders.....It's used to prevent surface rust from forming.

SWEET! Now I know what my '84 used to look like! I have the same paint RPOs (15L 15U). My engine bay is still the factory silver, but I always wondered what the gfx looked like. That settles it. I'm returning it to its original colors!

Well, here's what mine looks like right now. I drive it every summer but it does take some elbo grease to keep it clean. Actual milage is 56700.
