Silver camaros....

I wanna see some pics of silver camaros! I'm not a big fan of silver, but thats the color of the car i'm probalby buying (once i sell the damn cadillac!), so i wanna see what your cars look like. I was thinking black ZR1's, dark window tint, and blackouts, but would love to see what other people have done.
Thanks,-Chris

I dunno, it's basically just a stock looking Iroc, but I think 19Doug90's silver is killer looking. And I'm also a fan of the charcoal grey, but that's just me. I haven't seen too many but the ones I have seen seem pretty cool.

sorry no help with pics, but I want some pics too hehe

Here's my 85:

By the way, silver is a fairly rare color. I've never seen another one, except in photos.

Here's my dad's 85, It's similar to the above post,.

The thing I really like about the this silver is how it lights up when the sun hits it, it's really a nice color!

As far as the color being rare, my dad has mentioned how silver was only available in the 85 Iroc and only for like half the year, so it is rare. I have seen some 91-92's rolling around in a silevrish/gray color, not the same in my opinoin.

In 1985, there were 21,177 IROC's manufactured. How many of those cars were silver of the 11,684 listed below, I don't know--frankly, I doubt that GM does either. Note the number of silver cars per year according to the Camaro White Book:

1982 = 29,262 (code 16)
1983 = 12,837 (code 15)
1984 = 19,987 (code 15)
1985 = 11,684 (code 12)
1986 = 11,750 (code 13)
1987 = 4,997 (code 12)
1988 = 1,547 (code 13)

I have no clue whether these were all the 'same' silver or not or what the codes mean, but for that many reported silver cars, not many, apparently, still survive.

I've long thought that if I ever wanted/needed to repaint my car I'd try and go with silver. I would've never fashioned flames on silver, but the car TunedPort 335 posted looks awfully nice. I would still probably go straight silver, yet if I had an urge for flames - that's the route I would take. Very nice!

ya know, your the FIRST person so far to say anything negative about that car....
Everyone just says "Oh, buy Mentl's car, it scrubs out...", LOL
I dont mind if its not perfect, and as long as the body and interior and engine and tranny are in good shape, I could live with a car that needs to be repainted......you got any other pics of his car? Thanks,
-Chris

Interior is mint, really clean black/gray, power seats. Engine is mint, its got like 3000 miles on it. Same with the trans I beleive. It just needs some bodywork and paint to be a real sharp looking car. Wheels could be cleaned up too...
