Some tear down pictures

Im going to be restoring my car as some may know cause it only looked good to me on the outside. It needed some attention underneath so ill be putting it on a jig. Im part way there next is to take it to the shop for a roll cage.

The carpet was soaked when i took it out the heater core was leaking and didnt even know it.Got to it just in time there was actually bubbles in the paint with water underneath.

Shes watching over us at the paint booth entrance

Ill be going with black carpet most likely from classic industries they sell it all together for 300. Will be repainted navy blue and the interior will have navy accents.

Although im pretty familiar with the car i never took off the front bumper before every other panel has been off though. I have painted older cars on the jigs before though and painted the bottom turns out great. My dad does this everyday so its nice that I have the tools availalbe. There easy to take apart it putting them back together with out scratchin nething.

The car is clean as it sits, should look even better though after it gets painted

You didn't take it down to bare metal last time? Serves you right that you have to paint it again. Lazy bastard! jk Looks like it's going to be one sharp car when you're done.

look closely that is bare metal I just didnt paint the engine compartment or the underside last time and then it sat for a yr with no driving and the weather got to it. Now I have a garage to keep it in so i wanted to do it all this time. When I take them to bare metal I dont leave anypaint behind. The bottom side still has some paint but i didnt get to it yet.
