That sucks. They could have at least parted them out a little better, though it's hard to tell from that pic..

that is sad. I always cringe when i see something like that. I swear I act as if the car were alive at one point and I'm witnessing the funeral. kinda crazy. I felt that way when I brought my parts car in a scrap metal, even though I knew the body was too rusty to be worth fixing up

yeah trust me guys,,,,i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw that. Theres quite a few junkyards around here with a number of thirdgens in it too. Poor cars...just sitting there rottin away. My friend was at one of the salvage yards about 5 months ago and found a 83 Z28 with the original L69 in it. everything was there too. So he through a battery in it......and some gas...checked the fluids.....and i wouldnt of believed it if i didnt see it for myself....the thing fired! Granted it ran like crap...but still. Guy at the yard said the car was there for about 7 years. So my friend picked it up for 400 bucks! Rare car too. Its that briar brown color.

Did she say "decked out"?
Is it just me or was that car a rust bucket?
Id think the only salvageable peice would be the engine
being that it was an Iroc

I hauled one in for scrap yesterday....
Was kinda cool watchin the ol' girl go for her last ride....
She nearly buckled in half when he picked her up with the forklift, she was that fargone....
It's kinda like an old dog that's gettin ready to die anyway, sometimes you gotta put 'em down so you can move on and remember the good times.....

yeah seriously.... I can't believe they passed a law that allows them to take your car from you and destroy it. They can fine you all the $$$ they want and charge you criminally, but I don't see how they can take your property away and do that to it. Imagine you own a house and you commit a felony in it... can they take your house from you and demolish it? that's total

Thats stupid. They are just trying to deter people from racing.
Say they caught a brand new corvette, porshe or ferrari...you really think they would crush it like that?
Anyway on 3rd gens getting rare.... The 3 large junkyards around here didnt have anything. Drove to one yard an hour away and they had two left in the yard, said they just scrapped all they had but those two and they didnt have much of anything useful left on them.
