proper way to clean engine?

whats the best way to do it? what should i cover up? what chemicals are safest on the paint? thanks!

If you know a used car dealer or a detail shop, they may know where to get it steam cleaned. I have seen many 10 year old cars that look like new under the hood at the used car lots. They steam clean them and then armorall the hoses and plastic.

steam make it look great , it gets rid of a lot of grim thats hard to reach and the best thing is if you can get under the car with it .

Thats not armorall they are using its spray silicone i use it under the hood of my car its makes everything shiny.
