Great underbody pics, but what's the big blue thing in this pic above the steering on the right side of the pic.....(might be purple, I'm colorblind.... .......seriously...... )

It looks like a remote oil filter, or is it a trans fluid filter????
It just stood out in the pic for me.....

that's a turbo buick motor, i am going to assume that it's the place the oil filter goes on those motors.

I always look in the Drag racing forum on this site to find it (the Link). I don't have it saved anywhere.

This has already been covered in other posts, but i just wanna warn you that if you decide to pick up this set-up, then you'll run into ground clearance issues. My dad ended up modifiying the crossbar so that it wouldn't hang down so low, and i ended up putting the stock springs back in... which we were thinking about doing neway for more weight transfer at the track.
There's other things to be careful of with this system, just wanted to give a heads up b4 u decide to buy it, be prepared for minor fabrication/modification.

any idea if my exhaust would fit under that subframe connector/torque arm setup? that is very interesting. i kinda like it. i already have a set of Jegs SFC's, but i could take them off or modify them to work with the S&W kit if my exhaust will work with it

No, as it is right now that exhaust will not clear. the crossbar for the SFC's is right where your piping sits. In the picture, the right side is the front subframe, and the front point of attachment for the SFC's is at the four bolts for the trans crossmember/mount.

I used mineral spirits and plenty of rags! That's why I haven't done any more since. The only undercoating I'm removing is the yellow/brown beeswax style undercoating. It makes the undercarriage look nasty. The original black from the factory is still on the car. It can still be seen on the gas tank. The wheel wells are still with GM black also.
