Underside = Body color or black?

im in the middel of the underside body work, should i just por-15 it gloss black or should i spray it body color?

can you put por-15 on surfaces that already have rust.....not that deep of rust, but some...or do you need to get it pretty clean

yea, actually, its made to be painted right over surface rust. If its not rusting you actually need to put some special stuff on it before you paint it.

that's what i thot, but would it look funny with a body colored engine bay, what if i painted over por-15? would the primmer adhere to it as well so i could paint it still? other wise all just do the por and call it a day should be real fun brushing it on, on my back on the cold garage floor hope i don't get any on me :P

Metalli, did you ever fix the rusty crash bar be hide your rear bumper?

if I remember correctly, they now make a primer to use to paint over POR-15 so that you can paint it. not to mention I'm pretty sure they have different colors of POR-15 now.

Nope, but we just bought a welder so I'm gonna fix it when the weather is nice and I have time. It looks way worse in the picture than it really is and its not going to get any worse just sitting in the garage. I'm surprised someone remembered that pic.

id just buy a diffrent crash bar in fact you should cut holes in it to lightn it up a bit they are 26lbs or get a alum one from a caddy

ok so im just going to por-15 it, any tips? never did por-15 on the underside of a car before, should i powerder coat my sway bars, panhard bar, springs, rear end cover body color or at lest try to match it? or go silver?
