Wheel placement question.
Since there is a lot of discussion about wheels on this forum I thought I would post this here.
On the GTA crosslaced wheels, one set looks to be deeper than the other. The question is, do those deeper wheels go on the front or back?
When I got my car they were on the front, but some one told me this was wrong. Did he know what he was talking about?

Hi Guys,
Well I have a 1991 GTA and the Deeper dish set are ONLY for the front.
You cannot put them on the back or you will have problems.
The offset is different in the back than the front... that's why you cannot rotate the wheels front to back on a gta.
Hope that helps.

No reason why the fronts wont fit on the backs because there are guys that run 4 fronts (zepher I think is one of them that has)... but I've heard/read that the backs won't work on the front. They hit stuff.

I don't hae the pic of zepher's car saved, but from what I remember it looked better that way. If you've gotta drum rearend and no spacers then the rears on the rear stick too far in.... so fronts all around would be perfect then.

Front offsets are the ones with more dish to the lip. they can be run on all 4 corners. The rear ones will rub the tie rods if placed up front, I've never tried the rears on the front of the car but a few here have tried and said it rubbed.
The front offset of the 16" wheels are the same offset as the stock 15's and 14's that the 3rd gens have. The rear 16"s are the oddball.
Here are a few shots of my cars with front offset wheels on all 4 corners,
