thanks guys, I think the flow pretty well with the rear bumper. I bought the tips off of ebay and they are aftermarket. They are stainless steel so they will never rust. I think the are about 8 inches in length...or something like that. They are all over ebay though. I'll try to get a sound clip for you guys...because it sounds waaay different

You have an 80 series right? How does it sound now? Deeper? Louder? Softer?

I liked the car better when it had the 3" angle cut tips but that's ok too.

Thanks man, I wish I could describe the sound....I showed a few people and they couldn't really explain the tone either. I sounds really good and really different....

wow, those tips make the car look alot cleaner, more of a factory type look to them than the angled ones you had on there. Both sets look good but this one gives it a little cleaner look.

i also think that it matches the body lines of these cars great...

its funny how the 4th gens are much more rounded yet got square tips and 3rd gens are alot more box-ey and we got round tips...well not to visable but still were round.

The 4th gen tips are offset, whereas the aftermarket ones are centered.

I put mine on yesterday also. Definitely changed the exhaust tone to a throatier sound. I have the hooker cat back. I also went for the tucked under ---semi hidden look. heres a couple pics.

if you do go that route of cutting your bumper to tuck in the tips i HATE YOU!!!...haha just kidding ive done the same on mine, my description of the tone would be a "smoother" but just as loud note. oh and your car is my inspiration to go BLACK

How close is your exhaust to the bumper?
I thought it might be a problem for your plastic rear bumper...

The end of the tip is inside the bumper up by the pinch welds. I dont think the exhaust is hot enough to do anything to the bumper. I guess i will find out. The tip itself is no where near the bumper.

Looks awesome dude. I personally like both styles of tips-4th gen and slant cut. That idea of cutting out the bumper and tucking it in would look even better. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that it would be the best looking exaust on any 91-92 camaro. I would do this myself right now if there wasn't a risk of the paint cracking on my stripes. Also, taillight blackouts would look killer on your car.

Looks sharp, I like the semi hidden on Wacky Towers. I know when I cut off my tailpipes after the muffler it changed the tone, I had no idea it would make that much of a difference, now im curious as to how those tips sound.

It's kind of tricky... a buddy and founding member of fl-thirdgen (Dallas) is doing something similar with C5 center tips and had to cut out his trunk floor to "raise" it, for clearance. ;]
