Wheels came in the mail yesterday!!
Finally got the IROC out for the season after getting my "new" wheels yesterday.
I bought Kandieds Boze Stingers, and I must say they look quite at home on the ragtop

Im very happy to have the wheels of a "legend" like Jeff's previous 91Z on mine, along with the hood of another - Derek's (90Z28SS) gorgeous white Z!
BTW, before anyone asks - yes shipping 4 wheels/tires to Norway IS expensive. Around $650+

i dont know yet. I need to see more pics. Do you have them on a cardomain site? O btw how much room do you have between the caliper and the spokes on the rotor. With my boyds i had to use a spacer to move the wheel out 1/4 inch .

Thanks guys!!
Gr89RS,
Yeah, you should see the flag on that thing!
18inchboyds,
The clearance to the calipper is good now, without spacers. Now I could have done without the grinding of the calippers that I did as well.... The closest thing to the calipper now is actually the valve stem which is pretty close.
82firebird,
The TT2s were sold in March to a kid in Oslo that was fixing up an 87 T/A to be ready by the time he got his lisence in May. The fronts came out a bit too far after I did the C5 brake conversion, making the car track like crazy - so I had to get some other wheels to compensate for that.
Kandied,
Thanks bro, as I told you - Im very very happy with them, I totally understand why you miss them
More pics will be coming, probably tomorrow. Hit the car with a fresh coat of NXT today, and will get some billet polish tomorrow.....then its picture time
And I will also like to thank Jeff for all the legwork and time spent to make sure I got the best deal on shipping, that the wheels were packaged to handle the long journey and otherwise make it possible to go through with it... A pleasure to deal with!

That car looks sooo sweet. Those wheels are 10x better than the TTII's. One of my favorite verts

Hell of a long way for your wheels to travel, based on the traffic signs Iand plates I'd say you were still in Norway. They look good on their, although still like the deeper dished TT2s. Any thirdgenners there going to get those wheels?

Fantastic. I'm a huge TT2 fan, but the offset of yours really seemed to have a negative effect on their appearance. These wheels sit perfectly.

Thanks again guys! Appreciate the kind words!
devianb,
Yes, the TT2s went on to an 87 T/A. Im pretty sure they are the only set of 9,5"s on a thirdgen in the country too
There are quite a few with 17"x8"s though.. Seems like everyone over here thats getting aftermarket rims for pretty much any american car - is going for the TT2s, so it got a little old on the shows. Can't wait to take it to the shows with these though
Chuck!
I dunno - must be ******* S/C setup or something LOL
Jim,
Thanks! Yes, the TT2s didn't combine well with the C5 brake conversion. That just pushed them over the edge, but better brakes was way overdue. I did like the way then TT2s sat with the stock brakes though..
Guess I'll tag on a few more pics that I took today after a li'l polishing:

o yeah , i got a question for kandied and ken . kandied what is the bs on the rear wheels, its 6.75 on a 10 inch rim correct ?
Ken did you have to do any hammering to make the wheels fit . Like take the bumpstop out or anything or whatever, i know your car is very low and i likehow it sits but i was just wondering how the bs was on the rims . I have 5.5 on a 9.5 inch rim and with it was in just a tad further.

wow... more pictures! yes the b.s is 6.75 on those particular 10" rims. what i did has been posted time and time again and kens situation is slightly different with a drum rear and convertible quarters so i'll let him answer any questions for you. look great ken, you need a page up with some more shots.

well jeff i dont remeber everything about your car like some people on here do so i forgot . ANd why would the drums make a differnce the rear end is still the same width and the vert thing shouldnt be a big deal since his car was a coupe at one point. 86 conversion car.
So KEN what did YOU have to do to make the rims fit.

what's with the attitude? it's not needed..
drums require a different offset to fit properly. notice that many drum equiped vehicles had a small spacer included with them. ken told me that the inner rear quarters had a mold that was different to my own requiring some custom fitment issues that hopefully he has solved by now. i myself had to cut the bumpstops completely and hammer in a rough 3x4" bumpstop support for clearancing under full suspension travel.
this is kens thread so i wanted him to answer it, the reason i did what i did with the b.s was i wanted to be able to run a 295 wide tire and still have it look factory. every situation is different.

anyway...the wheels looked great on jeff's car and now they look just as good on yours ken! Really beautiful rims for our cars...not too big not too small and have a perfect lip with 5 spoke design.
