Trenz grille installation help
I made 1 post on this and it like disapeared its weird. But here it is again I have a deadline for a car show and this needs to be solved somehow...
So far i got an RS grille and the pic shows that yes it is rubber.. Will this work? I thought they only came plastic. But so far I cut out the slats, i used a razor blade most of the time. Am I in the right direction? Here are some pictures to help clarify what's going on.

I used a Z28 grille when I did mine, didnt cut anything out, just mounted it and use 2 zip ties to hold it on ghetto style. I didnt want to ruin the Z28 grille by putting rivets through it. I've never used a RS grille to mount that trenz billet piece, so I cant say for sure. To tell you the truth, the pics of that rubbery grille dont look right. I do remember my old RS grille from my 89 RS cracking apart, and while replacing it with a Z28 grille, I remember that the frame of the RS grille was not rubbery like that, it was solid like plastic. I'll check my grille on my B4C tomorrow and let you know if thats rubbery or not, its an RS too with the louvered grille. (I dont think it is, but didnt touch it yet so not sure).
mine isn't trenz, some other company that IMO looks a sh!tload better...the trenz grille looks like the car is smiling at you for some reason...the one i got came with some sticky tabs that i stuck to the body and then i mounted the grille to that....it lasted about 2 months and one let go...so i gotta figure out something too...probably gonna make some nice brackets and mount them to the grille or something...its definately not a 10 minute job tho....good luck

your in the right direction. mine was all rubbery like that when I cut out the slats. you can just rivet it in if you want. personally I think it looks better sanded and painted body color so all you notice is the billet grill itself

yea I looked at a few, i guess they are supposed to be like that...for some reason the fitment of the trenz grills don't look too good...they should be more flat accross, not curved up on the ends...i wish i had a picture of mine to show you guys, but mine fits perfect and its a no name grille i bought off ebay...

when trenz packages there grills the wrap them in a clear plastic wrap. from what I have seen it bends in the top edges on nearly all of them so you have to straighten them back out.
