Got Some New 18's, Anyone Like/Have These 18's? And Couple Questions....

Okay I just got a set of these Eagle Alloy 18's. They're polished, used with a little curb rash but I think they'll look nice on my car

I honestly don't know what they're called, but they're for a 4th gen. Are they mustang replica's?

But a few questions.
-What would be the best size of tire to run on it? I heard 40 series would be best. (the tires in the pic are shot
-And also, a 2" adaptor is what's needed right?
-And, does anyone know where I could get different center caps for this wheel? (like is there a universal size or what? I want like a bowtie one or something)

And finally, with them being polished, and there's curb rash on the outer lip, can I sand them or what should I do to smooth out the very edge of the outer lip? Thanks for any help

look like 077's. i've only seen them in chrome, good thing they aren't chrome as their chrome plating never lasts long.

how wide are they? probably 18x7 or 18x7.5? need to know the width for tire use.

that would make the width of the tire 24.5cm wall to wall, which according to my trusty web application, that converts to a rim size of roughly 9.5 inches wide. Could be 9 or 8.5 though, hard to tell with the pictures.

yeah I don't know the width, I guess I'll have to take the tires off and measure them. But if it fits what it has now should I just get the same size again?

Also, I searched kandied and yes, they seem to be the 077 wheels. Pretty cool, are they a respectable wheel for a thirdgen? And the center caps, where can I buy some that are different?

once again, thanks for any help

here is the set i had. 18x7 was the widest they came in from eagle. not sure what they offer but that was a few years ago when i had mine. the wheels aren't too bad, my personal experience was not good with the quality but that reflected the price as well. good luck with them.

Well I got an okay deal on them but they're a little dinged up and the tires are worse than I thought they'd be but oh well, but you know what, if Kandied ever used them on any of his cars in his life then I guess they got to be half way decent huh

And my dad told me I could take off the tires, and keep sanding the outside edge where there's curb rashes and sand them out and keep going higher grit and they look good as new, will that work?

depends how deep the gouges/scratches are. But ya....dont start too rough on the begining and work your way up to like a 2500, then polish them and will look great

Bump!
So does anyone know where to get new center caps? (bowties?)
And if they are 8.5" what should I stick with? Like I said it's 225 40's right now, off a ls1 camaro
And finally, 2" is good for a spacer right? I heard 2.25 may look good too...

If they're only 8" wide, and have a 4th gen offset, you could probably do anything from 1.7" to 2.25" (we'd need to know the offset), and have the wheels still fit in the fenderwell. I'd go with the 2.25" first, to have the wheel sit further to the outside edge of the fenderwell. If its too much, you can exchange them for a different size.

Centercaps are generally wheel specific, so the best bet is to find a buddy with a machine shop to make them. Figure on $100+ for the set at $50/hr machine shop rates if they only make a set of four for you.

Hey skulte thanks for the info. I'll have to find the offset. Do they make more than one offset for this wheel style for 4th gens?
And I would like to put dropzone's on the car as well, so should I not go quite as wide as 2.25?
And as far as the center caps go, my dad owns a cnc shop but we didn't want to set up the machines and program it for something so small, I think I may hand mill some and laser engrave them I guess.

And slammed_z thanks so much for that link!!!!

I got those in 17x8. Just waiting to get adapters for them to install.

I got a good deal on mine, too, used, with 26x11.5 E.T. Streets on the back. That was the only reason I got them really.
