Chrome Irocs

Anyone know where you can get wheels chromed, I want 88+ style wheels but want chrome ones, does anyone make these especially like 17"?? i have never seen them any where.

I was thinking you might be able to coat them with cermakrome, that would be pretty cheap to

Mr. Iroc's rims came from Performance outlet I believe-polished. They only have the older stle rims and not the 88+. There is a place I think somewhere in Ca that will take your original rims and chrome them for you. I am sure some on here would know...

Hey Mo,
They now have the newer style (double Vein)
rims. They have them in 17'-20'!

I may get rid of mine to get the newer 88+
style. But personally, I would go for the
polished look and then paint the inside.

Chrome IROC-Z rims look gaudy to me?

Mo,
Here's a recent picture of how a nice polish
job of my front rim. With the Chrome, I think it takes away from the form of the
wheel. The chrome tends to blur the angular
shape of the lines of the rim.

ya, i agree, sometimes chrome irocs look funny, i've seen some that look like plastic, but they were all on white cars, i think on black cars they would look a hell of lot better, but i'll have some time to think about it since i dont have the $$$ quite yet, probably just end up polishing mine and running them until my tires wear out.

Yea I agree with ya there. Chrome looks good only on dark SHINY cars. That means keep them clean. But I dont like them on like red, yellow, white, etc...

Do you know if they have them wider than 8"? I am looking for a 17x9 in the 88-90 style.

Omar,
I dont believe you can buy them any wider than 8". Even the 18's only come in 8" wide. Let us know if you find any wider though, I know I would be interested.

Unfortunately they don't make them wider than 18x8. Damnit, some one should tell these guys that there is a market for wider wheels!

Anyway, I'm looking at some options where these guys can widen my rims. It's this race shop down here and they do that kind of **** to race wheels.

More info to follow.
