My Camaro w/ a US Body Ram Air II hood should be finished by Saturday. W000000000 I can't wait. Anyway, I will take pics the SECOND I get it home, and will get the roll developed. So by Monday or Tuesday, I will have pics posted here. A'ight?
I will probabally debut my new website dedicated to Third Gen Fbods (mostly my camaro), called Third Gen Project by then also.
Now, US Body as a company? They were absolutuly terrible. The hood came cracked from shipping, and there were warps in the fiberglass. All of that needed to be repaired, which costed me another $300. Yikes! I got a deal because I know the guy who works at the body shop. He had such trouble w/ it, he wanted to charge me more, but he stuck with his orignal price. THANK GOD! US Body's service was also terrible. They would not even partially refund any money, nor would they even pay to have it fixed.
As for the rest of the hood, it seemed fine. The hood is on my car right now, but I can't comment on how it looks, becuase I haven't seen it yet. I know it will look great though.
Just be wary of US Body, and make sure you have about $1000 around, just in case something were to happen.
I will post pics soon, and you can judge for yourself weather or not its worth it to buy the hood.

Hey, I'm sure you probably did, but if not...why didn't you get them to replace it? Isn't the shipping supposed to be insured, and the warping of the fiberglass is not quality craftmanship. I believe that I'd have either got my money back, or received a replacement.

If I had shipped the hood back, that still would have costed me money, and I had already spend way too much on it. If they sent me a replacement, what would guarantee that it wouldn't come in the same kind of condition, or worse. I had a terrible time speaking with thier represenatives, and I was so peeved at them, I didn't want to deal with them any further, so I decided to have it repaired.
Buying that hood was supposed to be an enjoyable experience, but it was far from it. I learned to be a little more wary of companies. The hood also came quite unfinished. The underside edjes were not even smoothed out, if I were to open the hood, when it was on my car, I would have cut my hand. Thats how bad it was.
I didn't want to wait for a replacement hood either. I wanted to have the car done before Xmas, and if everything had went smoothly, it could have been easily finished. But I had missed my goal, and the hood was sitting in a garage for over 3 weeks while I TRIED to work everything out with US Body. At that point was so upset that my car wasn't finished, I basically said f' it, I will get the car finished, and I don't care how much it costs. (My front bumper was damaged, so I wanted the car all finished and painted at the same time)
Oh well, I suppose I am just an unsatasified customer, like so many of us are. I feel like Mr. IrocZ and his hatred for Harwood
lol.

I wont do it if it kills the structural integrity of the car that much, but I like the car I have now and want something open in the roof, I guess I'll just find a good power sunroof. Thanx.

It does kill, well not kill, but does weaken the structure of the frame. Factory T-top and convertable cars and stiffer and heavier frames.
As for your plastic pieces there are dyes for that, check out http://www.SummitRacing.com or http://www.Jegs.com
Also there was someone about a month ago with a nice looking interior that he had customized to black and red. See if you can find that guy. He would be able to help you with that.

The structural support for the roof runs right through the center, so a sunroof will do a number on it. So will t-tops. Sell it and buy a t-top car, or just give up the idea.
