high luster is just a high polish... looks like chrome though, very nice. the weight of the stinger in the same size 18x8 will be lighter then the cast iroc wheel. do not know about the roh. if you can afford the boze stingers you won't regret them, very nice wheel..

The Stingers are about 100lbs a piece. They suck. Don't get them.

Hey Kandied, I know probably answered this question many times, but how much did your first set of stingers run you without tires? Did you order them direct from Boze? The stinger is one of the only wheels that appeals to me as something I would want to keep for a long time. Other than that the stock 91 wheels can suffice for now with a deep polishing due to the slight dish and nice surface area.

i ordered direct. i've seen them as cheap as $450 a rim in the 18" range but options, mounting and style choice changes that as you have some options with the wheel and it's features. mine retailed for $800 a rim.

yeah when i bought my boze wheels boyd 18x8 were under 300 and the 18x10 were $350. most of use to run boyd on our mini trucks because a set of 17's could be had for around 800 which was nice in a custom 2 piece.

considerably more but it would depend on tire choice as well. a 245/40/18 on a 18x8 iroc drags less then say a 18x10 295/35/18 so not only do you have slightly less rim weight but alot less contact weight. if you have over 300 to the wheels you'll be fine. otherwise stick to something thinner if your worried about speed more then looks. for example when i switched to 19's of the same width combination it was barely noticeable however when i put my 16's on which are factory with factory spec tires it's noticeable. obviously the ride will be nicer with more sidewall and the car will move better with less rotational weight. if that's a consideration larger wheels aren't right for you. however don't assume it will weigh too much. the last time i had the car dynoed i lost roughly 10% horsepower with the 19's versus the 16's. small price to pay myself. i think 18's are perfect for the most part for a street cruiser. tire selection is great, price is reasonable and with the right offset and design they look terrific. i wouldn't recommend anything larger. 19's lack tire selection greatly and to run a 20 safely on the street you need good suspension modifications and a thin sidewall so you had better have a rider on your insurance.

It all comes down to what you want. With companies like intro, they can fit them to your liking, so the only thing in question is if you like the wheel or not. But yes, that is a nice wheel.

Jeff- What do you use to keep your wheels looking like chrome? Usually you would see a little swirl marks from polishing the wheel, but looking closely I dont see that.

good camera tricks. in all honesty you can not protect them 100%. i use mothers "billet" polish which is $13 a 4 oz can but works the best. i use blue magic though for a first base coat or if i'm in a hurry i use mothers power ball and their specific power ball billet polish and then use the billet polish by hand after which. the biggest thing you can do is watch how you wash it. the brake dust is what scratches the wheel that i've found so you have to be extra careful.

I can't post a full blown pic I do not have a server to post from. I also have yet to weigh the wheels on an acurate (sp?) scale, but they are much lighter than the stock GTA wheels and so far they are holding up well to autocrossing.

those in my picture are baer 2 piece 13" rotors. they are zinc coated but even that wears off. reguardless you get what you pay for though at the most part. but $250 a rotor is rust really that bad to have cheaper ones? drive your car more, they won't look like that.

Well I am using a C-5 12.75" rotor and caliper. The Rotors are brembo stock replacements at 1.25" thick. The pads are Hawk's HPS series. These seem to hold up to multiple autocrossing sessions.

The brakes are the whole reason I purchased the wheels. The drift R's fit very well. They are a little big at 18 inches, but they leave plenty of clearance for brakes. I also like running a 10" wide rim on the back and a 9" on the front. And besides balancing the sumitomos are proving to be a great performance tire for the buck.
