stripe question

ive got a question for you guys about stripes, well just one stripe. i recently purchased a ss hood for my car and i plan to paint the scoop part of the hood black, my car is red. anyway i was wonderin what you guys think about paintin a matching black stripe on the deck lid. im not really sure how it would look, any opinions are welcome.

I dont' think it would look good on the decklid.

i think it would look good IF:

the stripe starts ON the hood scoop, and right before the windshield it hits a fork and turns into 2 stripes, then put those same 2 stripes on the deck lid....just dont run the back stripes all the way down the back of the car (i mean onto the bumper), that usually doesn't look as good as just having them on TOP of the trunk...

i only plan to run them on the scoop and deck lid, definatly not down either bumper or on the roof. i really dislike the look of them going down the bumpers or on the roof, thats a ford thing. i like your idea about splitting one into two but i dont think there is anyway to do it thaat would look good. if i do it im prolly only gonna do one stipe on both the hood and deck lid.

well i do auto body and paint so im doing it myself so its all done at cost. i live your idea of doing the two stripes and ive seen em done on 4th gen ss and really like the way it looks. its kinda a toss up i like the one stripe idea but donno how it woulld look on the deck. im sure if i do two stripes on both the hood and deck it would look good. i donno well see.

kinda like this but with out the line of sliver breaking the strip in half. id want it to look more like a 25 anny stripe. hood and deck only.

the one stripe idea reminds me of the lotus europa from Gran Turismo 2....i dont think it would end up looking that good....just in my opinion...i dont know that's just one of those queezy looking stripe jobs that is real risky to do b/c it's hard to pull of and look good

Do the one stripe on the hood scoop. Do a search on the "Manta Stripe" I think that looks awesome and yes do it on the decklid or it will look like something is missing.
