how long till i can wash my car?

after a paint job how long should u wait till u can give it a car wash??

so is it alright to wash it with soap i kno not to wax it for like 2 months right im dyin to wash my car shine it up

you can wash your car just do not use soap.

just cold water, and use a brand new glove or cloth thats soft.
you dont want to find any scratches in your new paint

ill have pics of her maybe by tomorrow i had posted couple of days ago how it was in its old marron color with the white hood but now its like damn nice u kno the feeling of a freshly painted thirdgen after puttin money in it its damn good

unfortunately once you get that damn good feeling, you like it and then end up dumping more money into it....TRUST ME

Yea i've always washed mine just without soap of about a month or so, but if you have alot of grime on it use a TON of water i always kept the hose running in one hand and the mit in the other, it wastes water but it will keep the risk of scratching down

I just got my '92 RS painted and the body shop told me to wash with cool water only for the first two weeks and then after a month I could wax it. He didn't want me to put the car cover on it for that first month either - man, that was hard!

My advice to you is to not drive the car that much untill like 6 weeks. It will help out in the long run because Since the paint hasn't settled little rocks will chip stuff very easily then rather 6 weeks from paint. seriously.
