I think I would go with the 245/50/16. Just so that you wouldn't have to worry about having problems with the tires rubbing or anything. Any of your choices would work though.

255/50/16 gives you another inch or so .. and it handles better. i went with the 245/50 because that was the biggest it came in the XST's. i wish i would have gone 255/50 in BFG COMP's but i will have to later. i only have 3000 on these if that. and they have shreaded no tread yet. look brand new even after two trips to the track. but when we road race next summer they will die so maybe then. and the 255/50's wont rub at all. think about it 275s dont rub with 17' rims so 255's wont and dont go with 255/45. its looks bad. ricerific. and speedo will be off more. but in the good way.

i might go with the 255/50's now. if it handles better, it must be worth it. but does anyone have pics of a 255/50 tire on a 16 inch wheel? thanks

stock - 245/50/16 = 25.65in. tall
and 255/50/16 = 26.03in. tall. Your speedo will be off some but I don't know how much

After a little banging on the inner fender well, my 295/50R15 fit with out any rubbing, so I'm not too sure about the 16. But stock is 245/50R16, so I bet you can get up to a 275/50 back there. Some people get some 315s back there. I don't know how though.
