I am trying to decide on a set of valve covers for my motor. The heads allow me to use centerbolt or perimeter bolt valve covers which is nice.

I am running harland sharp rockers so I am pretty sure they will not allow me to run the stock valve covers.

What are people running for valve covers? I have done some looking around and I am really not prepared to spend $200 - $300 for a set of valve covers.

I would like to spend under $100 if possible. I'd like to know what you all suggest and pics of how they look.

Post em up and thanks!

You can find these all day long on Ebay with or without the fancy milling on the top. Without milling is normally under $70. Iplan on using these too. Eventually I plan on getting some fancy high dollar pieces, but for now, those are pretty darn sharp.

I have always been partial to the Mickey Thompson M/T covers in the wrinkle black finish. I love the looks on the Mopars and not to bad on the sbc's either. I got a pair of the talls and they clear my Crane Gold's just fine.

I think summit has a centerbolt to 'standard' valvecover adapters. You can get those and then get a set of stock valvecovers and the adapters can act like a space also, plus you have a much wider selection.

Summit PN: TFS-31500811
Theyre $103 tho

Yah $103 is a bit pricy. My Dart heads have provisions for perimeter and center bolt so it really doesnt matter.

What I would really like is a smooth black centerbolt valve cover with enough clearance for my rockers. Any ideas?

get the above ones wtihout the ball milling and paint them yourself. I believe I heard somewhere that the center bolt design seals better too. Is that true?
