i paid 1850 for my paint job. there was quite a bit of body work that needed to be done. it's dupont paint. i get a lot of compliments on it. major paint shops were asking 3500-4500 for mine but i found a guy that does it as a "hobby". he took my car for a week and i couldn't be happier. sorry, no pics right now, car is covered in snow.

I just finished putting the clear on my car last night. It does have some flames now. I should have some more pics soon. it cost me about 1000. I did all of the body work. and a buddy of mine let me use his booth and sprayed it for me.

I like the hood.. It might be common, but I've never seen it... The scoops look really cool...

thanks we actually put some pearl flames on it too. I don't have a finished pic but I have this.

You can see where we backmasked all of the flames and made them go into the pearl flames. it does look good.

well at the time i was the painter at a body shop(now im a mechanic) so i had access to the booth, i had all my own spray guns, and all the materals. so i asked my boss how he wanted me to pay for everything, and he said dont worry about it, you make me enough money during the week. so i wasnt going to argue with that being how what he said was true. so i ordered everything that i needed and had it charged to the company . i think it was a little over 1K in just the materails. he told me that if he were to charge a customer for all the work that i did to my car it would have cost about 6-7K.

$700 for this paint job. It gets cheaper everytime I sell some parts. Long story short, I gave my friend a pair of $1500 heads and he gave me a 90 formula 305 5 speed and painted my car, so as I sell the parts from the 90, my paintjob gets cheaper.

pretty sick. wish i "knew" people... 5 grand is a kick in the nuts. hell, i'd do it in my garage, if i wasn't afraid of stinking up the rental property..

400 bucks here. No complaints but I have to take care of it to keep it looking good.

I was disappointed in the amount of overspray and the longevity I can expect but at that price I could afford to paint every year. Lookingt back in retrospect, I am going to find that guy who can do it for 1 grand next time. Seems about like the right price for a good paint good.

I payed $10,000.00 but the car was completely stripped and added new fenders, hood, also the under carriage and the engine bay were done. Color is 2005 Ferarri Modena Yellow-$500.00 a gallon!

I love your car sinsiter, but I think black headlight buckets would make it so much better. Maybe I will see it at the dreamcruise this summer

Well over $5K for mine but it is two tone with custom graphics. The damn bodywork and prep (even though there was hardly anything for the guy to do except the prep) cost me more than the painting (by the first guy that had the car but never did paint it) but I still think I was royally robbed on that and can't do crap about it since it ......

Also- the orange paint (Monarch Orange- PPG) alone was around $500 a gallon- same as Sinister's! That reminds me I need to go get that because I did actually buy that paint!

I was quoted 6k to do mine. Seemed like a reasonable estimate given the work required. Strip to metal, replace doors, fix 1/4, and paint.
