Ram Air II Hood (camaros)

Does any have a picture of a camaro (maybe yours) that has a Ram Air II Hood?? I love the SS hoods but when I see firebirds, I love the Ram Air II hoods A LOT. Give the car an intimidating look.

I luv those hoods and i was gonna get one for my camaro but for some reason they look like some kind of tumor on the camaro. For some reason there r no hoods availible that looks good on thirdgen camaros, i dont know why. The plain stock hoods look much better. I hate that. I use to have the 4 ich cowl every time on the highway it would move up and down so i sold it and put the original back on .

I was split between the Ram Air II and the SS until I saw the Ram Air on a Camaro.. I quickly decided on the SS. Now I just need the money..

I like the Ram Air II on a Camaro. personally, I can't stand the SS hoods because everybody and their dog has one. I am the only one I know of with a Ram Air II on a Camaro and I haven't seen any on any other Camaro. Everyone who has seen it in person, either..
A. Wanted to buy my car (I've had so many offers, its just plain wierd)
B. Stared at it in awe, as I rumble my car past them, or
C. Asked me how much it costed.

you are so 100% correct. Everyone has the SS hoods. the RAM AIR II hoods are sweet and different. I think thats why I like it. Just because they seem like hardly anyone has them.

Did you have to cut out the holes on the hood btw?

Yes you have to cut out the holes. The hoods are sent to you uncut so you can decide how much you want them open. The manufactuor sggets you leave a 1/8" of plastic around the opening for stability and then to put some mesh or a grille over the opening to clean up the look.

No smog pump
gutted factor cleaner
cam ground to crane specs
timing advanced 9 degrees
no thermostat
other than that its bone stock and ran a 16.4 @ 82 mph with earth shattering wheel hop and a 2.88 60 ft time. (this was with the rebuild and cam only)

Yep, I had to cut the holes out. Plus I had to finish the hood up in a few different ways also. If you want to know more about it, e-mail me.

If your talking about the big block hoods that were used in corvettes in the 50's than i know what your talking about. For some reason i dont like the way it looks on camaros, they look great on the corvette stingrays. I guess its cause of their square design. I know im gonna get alot of complaints about this but its just my opinion. And im just a grouchy old man.

I just got my Ram Air II hood yesterday. Its in better condition than i expected it to be. There are some minor scratches from shipping, but everything went great. I will be putting it on my car real soon probably next week and i will post some pics. I also plan on putting in a 4th gen spoiler on my iroc. Sonar do you have any problems with water getting in the scoops in the front???

No, I haven't had any problem with water getting in the front scoops. Some water does get in it, but I have had this thing in some pretty hard rains. It seems that there isn't enough water to really matter.
