thirdgens are so long and sleek I generally think they look 'lacking' without a spoiler out back

hey i think that would look sweet if you took off the gfx and put on a 91 nose, but thats too much work. you might as well put on a spoiler

i agree, i've only see a few birds able to carry that look off and yours is not one of them. but if you think it looks good and it makes you happy do it.

imo newer birds with no gfx look look good with no spoiler.. but any other years dont really look so good.. it almost compliments the gfx or something.. but if you like it leave it

Birds w/o spoilers look like wet cats. Spindly and awkward.

Some colours work better then others.

My 89 GTA was spoilerless and it looked mean.GM 47/red flame metallic clearcoat. The dark red with blue tinting. Made the car look "lighter", and at night, it looked fast!

Im a painter, and will be painting mycar soon. I got inspired not long ago.

Touch up the paint on your car, it'll look good.
----------
Oh almost forgot, DARK tint on the rear windshield makes the spoilerless gta work. (on my car anyway). Try it out.

Highbeams of a truck right behind me in traffic at night i can look stait into the lens and see the shape of the bulb. like 5-15%.

i think that these cars look good both with and without spoilers, it's all in the eye's of the beholder as it were. i like mine without:

I personally like the no spoiler look as long as the hatch lines up absolutly perfect as well as the lights sitting correctly too... I think like other people have said the color will make it or break it as well as the quality...
What cars came without a spoiler from the factory? What years, with or without ground effect? any stock pics??

See, the 'Bird in the picture that iasane posted has a lower, more agressive nose-down stance, which is also helped by the lack of pinstripe around the gfx. The whole car comes together to make the lack of wing look sleek and sexy, and it actualy helps the car look more agressive IMO. Also the obvious drag-car look the M/T's give it helps alot.
If you plan on doing more to the car to make it more agressive looking, wingless will be hott, but if it's gonna end up mostly stock still, put the wing back on.

The lack of a spoiler makes it look like a base model. It just doesnt work on your car.

i think a spoiler makes the car look better u need to do the right things to make it look good if ur not goin to have a spoiler and that can be expensive...

I say sans spolier, it looks pretty good. Mine is a TA with no spoiler too, just haven't gotten the holes welded up. I'd really like to loose the GFX, but not until I have the cash or someone who wants to trade I guess. Looks cool without, but it's all opinion I guess.

That picture Zepher put up there makes it look kind of like a Vette from the side like that. But overall, I tend to agree that the birds look better with the rear spoiler...as much of a pain as they are.

I'd put the spoiler on. Just looks like your car is missing something w/o it.

Yeah, it's an awesome looking bird. The name of the original was "spoilerless-josh" so his name is josh and he posts fairly regularly on here I think.

My car looks identical, infact i save it once (few months ago) and my friends thought it was my car. Only difference is my tint is pitch black and wheels are the gold version.

Looks AWSOME. but you have to deal with the junk under spoiler (usually some spot rust and the many mounting holes) Quick sand/rust converter/spray and it looks beautiful

i love the look of your car it kinda makes me think of a older muscle car and it looks great with out the spoiler, i pulled my spoiler off of my 88 gta due to cracking and warping and my car looks pretty naked due to the ground effects but i bought a high rise spoiler off of ebay and will have that on in a matter of days. i think the sc's look the best with out spoilers IMO.

Wait, what rear bumper is that on Zepher's car?
That's nothing like my 87 car, it really ties to no spoiler look together I think.

It's Photoshopped. Look at the smudged area of grass where the orginal bumper was.
