Just saying, if it's 100% original shouldn't it have the original wheels? Nice looking car!

There was a previous discussion about the wheels on his IROC. I thought that they were not original myself, but i was informed that those wheels were an option (base option) for the IROC (although I very rarely see an IROC with the 15 inch SC/RS wheels)...I can't say i know for certain that they were an option or not...but i have a 1988 SC and i have those same exact wheels.

What Crusin' said. It was a base option for the IROC. It doesnt have to have the IROC wheels.

Thank you! Most people didn't know that the IROC wheels were actually an option on the IROC package.

Nice, how much (if you don't mind). That car is nice, and make sure you keep it good too.
What I've learned from owning my second f-body (one third gen, one second gen), is don't get your head too big about making everything "performance". Be smart of what you do to the car.

Nice man, very nice.

As for names, I use to call me white RS of all things Snoopy. It started as a joke and stuck. And yes as in the cartoon and from the songs Snoopy Vs. Red Baron. After all how many cars have a theme song.

I am also looking to name my Blue trans am but not sure yet.

Again very nice car.

paid 4g's even for it.

I really dont like the current wheels too much and I'm thinking of buying these for it.

The only thing is there very expensive..900+ bucks! ouchy... Plus I'll have to buy new tires because the new wheels would be 16" vs. the 15" I got on there now..So very costly apperance upgrade.

I think the picture you showed of those wheels are also offered in a 17" version...i was thiking about getting the 17" "replica" looking wheels and takking off the chrome and making them look more like stock. The wheels shown in these pictures are 16" i believe, but I'd like to have 17 inchers that look like the picture on the right...someday!

WOW, you don't see an Iroc like that very often, No Power Options, 15" wheels, am/fm radio. Very Nice I like personally. So I take it it's got the 305 TBI then? very reliable motor, and gets great milage.

I have only seen 1 other Iroc like that, I was selling the guy some parts at Checker (When I worked there a few years ago) and had to show him how to install the air filter LOL

Last time I checked, they sell those wheels in a polished aluminum finish. I personally like that, with painted inserts, more than the chrome.

Forklift, she's lookin good. And I named mine Jenny.

there wasnt an RS in 1988. those were standard option wheels for 88 IROCs. in 89 15s were standard as well but they redesigned them to look like the bigger 16" versions.

Hey allright! Crank windows and manual locks and hatch are the best! Seriously, I will never change my IROC over to power anything.

Yeah, Ive seen a few IROC's fer sale around here with TBI. Theres an 87 around here with TBI, power everything, and a 5 speed goin for $4000. I tried to talk him down, but he just laughed at me and walked inside. So DONT BUY FROM DON WASHINGTON! Hes a *****.

I don't think TBI was offered until 1988, maybe he chaged it to TBI?...or is it an 88?

Wow, original floor mats, seat belt holders still on the seats, not a crack in the dash pad. Little things tell a story sometimes. Those wheels are probably an indicator of rear drum brakes instead of the discs which have a different width/offset. Nice car from what I can see. Good find. My 88 sales brochure has that identical car on the cover, wheels and all. And it shows the 305 TBI as standard in the IROC.

hmm, i wasnt aware of that. yeah its an 87. i figured they moved to TBI and TPI in 85 and did away with carbs. so maybe its a carbed motor. i dont know much about the TBI cars.

Looks nice! Like they said, keep it nice and dont go all "performance" on it. I did, boy that was afew thousand later and a car that is on stands right now. Go with the 17"s, 16"s have horrible choices for tire sizes. 15"s have more choices than 16"'s do. If you ever want to run wide tires, 255 mm is the widest you will find (BFG had 275/50/16 until they killed the comp t/a's....) any ways you will like the 17"s more, better handling, more sizes, beter handling.... etc... PLus 16"s are a dying size, most alloys seem to be going 17+ from factory now...
