So what's new in the thirdgen world these days?

I've been a member of this site for about 4 years now and see alot come and go, so I must ask, what's the lastest and greatest with the thirdgens?

Whose got the best cars on here?

What's the new fashion trend?

I've been out of the game for too long.....lol

Let's see, in order:
1) I think they're up to 19" bling, blings now.
2) Everyone think's they have the best one, I just know I don't.
3) Painting your car with a roller & industrial paint. (really-search for it)

The longer you stay in the game, the later it gets.

Bags are making their way onto the thirdgens now.
Black wheels with polished lip.
Candy paint.
Two tone.
Red tail light mod.
LS1s are becoming common.
LT1s are even more common.

There are tons of nice cars on this site. There is definitely not just one nicest.

the big wheels are definitely whats in style right now and being low. i went with 17"s b/c i dont want the big big wheel look with no tire, mine are nice and flow with the car keeping it at a semi stock look. i have to agree everyone thinks they have the best one i hear it everyday posted by someone. i have never heard of the painting car with a roller i dont remember anyone doing that.

Check out "Poor Man's Paint Job" on this board. Very sad, but true.

who cares? let people do what they wanna do and let them share what they know or have found out about. Its what keeps this site going, and the options that are out there.

Tell ya thats one thing still kickin on TGO is the lack of accepting new ideas or new people.

Also, I have noticed a lot of pewter colors (chrysler platinum is one variation) popping up on cars. A few different shades of blue are becoming more popular as well.

Deep dish wheels in the back.
Polished finish wheels are popping up a lot more.

Seems to me the thing thats becoming really popular lately are ACCIDENTS!

Seriously, in the past year ive seen so many wrecked thirdgens its insane.

Then last spring my gf backed into my 'bird and totalled it
Now im afraid im thirdgen-less
I do have a mid 9 second vehicle as my daily driver though so its not all bad. (which by the way was my "valentines day present" from her to make up for my fallen bird.) Oh well, i guess she made up for it. Four months, 11 days until i get my next Iroc. (21st b-day, trust fund payday!)

You're key word there is "accepting". Seem's people can post all the new ideas they want, then as soon as someone states their opinion or criticize's
it, everyone get's bent out of shape about it. It's as if anything done to a thirdgen is a good thing so long as the species survives! (not) And for those, I give you this. I know, I know, it would look great with some clear side markers!!

im sorry...no we dont need to accept new ideas but we should learn how to be respectful of others.

Theres something called "constructive criticism" something you should learn and a lot of others on this site. Either that or dont say anything at all.

No one should have to like something because its different or because no one else has done it, but you shouldnt have to trash talk the person to the ground for it.

Is that what you think when you hear "constructive criticism"?

I'll let this die here as we're getting off the post topic a bit. I guess we'll just agree to disagree on responding to ideas. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
