i just followed a thread off here somewhere, do a search for polishing wheels, start out by stripping the clear and then start sanding your *** off, better winter project than summer. Start out aggressive on the sandpaper and work your way to fine grit.

For a black car, I think option #1 is really nice. it looks really kick butt. I painted my car silver and am looking for some ideas as well.

I like the all black ones too, gives it a modern aftermarket look. i think the second pics makes them look like the vette double spokes in a way.
I found the tech article on refinishing them. Im gonna definetly make it a winter project.

Im not really a fan of black wheels... They just dont contrast right with the tires or brakes (unless you've got HUGE rotors) and even then, I just dont think it has a bold enough appearance.
My favorite wheels are just the machined, brushed aluminum look. I'd have white wheels on my car before black wheels.
I wish I could find some wheels like THAT...

Tape up the "camaro" nut in the middle and paint the outer ring black, I did it (in graphite) on my old beater...

I love the way the polished ones look, like you have, but I'm cheap and lazy, so the $3 spray paint and sitting on the couch with masking tape suited me better than hours and hours of elbow grease or a buttload of cash for polishing.

I have an extra center cap cause this wheel is cracked so i decided to paint it all black. I like how it came out but now im wondering what it might of looked like if i did tape up the chrome too. I'm pretty happy with the results just wish i could smooth out the plastic "camaro" piece.

I like the first picture best. it really changes the look of your car. My rs is painted silver and I'll be changing my wheels to look like that. Very inexpensive way of drastically changing the way the car looks. I will be posting pictures afterwards, may take a couple of weeks.

If you have to have an accent color, I'd say go with that color, like if you have stripes. Like the crosslace wheels on my wife's car. We had the gold section painted yellow to match her stripes.

Black with a polished lip...sexy. You could even go with a lot of tedious work and polish the two lines on each spoke but I don't think it would be worth it.
As far as the centers take another one and tape off the Chrome part (just painting the 'outsid' of the center cap black) and see which ones look best.
S-10's also have center caps that will fit these wheels and their center caps are completely flat (no big 'nut' sticking out of the center), if you were interested.

I have the same wheels on my RS and have always thought they look more aggressive without the center cap. Just paint the cavity in the center black too and some shiney chrome lug nuts will set it off nicely!

yeah I'd have to go with #2 also, just has a cool clean look to them and could draw more attention to your wheels than all black would. In addition, if you didn't like the way that style turns out you could just paint the rest all black. Anyone try anything with the Z28 wheels? I'm interested in some ideas along these lines...

Car: Looking
I think the far right picture looks the best. There's already enough black on your car. Your car looks great by the way. I think painting the wheels black would just be too much black.

How about the opposite of the second pic? One the 3 ribs of the spokes, black out the outer two on each spoke, leaving the inner one silver. It would look like 5 real thin spokes.
