Yes they will, but you will need spacers that usually cost more than the wheels themselves. I found 16x8 fourthgen wheels for $250.00 for a set of four but the spacers I need will cost more than that according to the folks at Vette Brakes.

Buta as soon as my budget allows Ill consider that option again, I've seen those wheels on thirdgens...... sweeeet!!.

if you want nice lookin rims, try the new Grand Prix GTP wheels.. wow there nice. one problem tho..the centercap says "Pontiac" which isnt that big of a deal, but some people dont know chevy and pontiac are tight like that guess you could always repaint the center cap, but the rims are REALLY nice

Correction... for 4th gen Trans Am wheels you do not need spacers. IROC, GTA, etc wheels are 16x8 and 16x8 is 16x8 is 16x8. It doesnt matter what generation, just that tehy are 16x8 and because IROC wheels are 16x8 and they fit, then the 4th gen 16x8's will fit as well.

However, you DO need spacers for 4th gen 17'' wheels..., but not for the 16's.

4th gen backspacing is different than the thirdgens. You'll still need the spacers. 2.25" in front 1.25" in back. Goto the tech article section on this site. Theres a great article there on backspacing.

just cause the rim size is the same dimensions it doesn't mean the center mounting piece is place in the same position.

YEs you need spacers for either 16" or 17" 4th gen wheels , 1.25" rear and 2.25" front spacers are needed for both applicatons

One thing about the GTP rims is that they are 16x6 not 16x8. I was thinking of taking them off my wife's car and putting them on mine until I found that out.
