and like Denial says i would not do the whole motor just like the oil pan and water neck and a couple other things and the most of all important thing is that you like it, it dosent matter if every one in the world dosent like it lol. Supreme Member

Are you stenciling this paint scheme by overlaying a mesh, like bird netting?
It's interesting. The results looks better in the thumbnails than it does up close.

Just be sure not to turn your whole car into a snake. It might try to eat your nose bird and devour itself in the process. Sorry, that was lame.

It should make you one of a kind, that's for sure.
I would be surprised if anyone else does that.
Do the whole car like that, and change your plate to SNAKE

I mostly did the bottom end of the motor in that fashion.
Just the fuel blockoff plate and the water neck so other than that it stayed chrome.
Yea it would be interesting to see that belt like that hmmmm
I'll try on my old belt see how the paint adheres to rubber.
Adding some clear coat would help keep it sealed in there. Do they have a high temp clear coat? or does it not matter? thanks<----92rs85berlintta.
87CIZ ---- Jade Grey----
All the paint that I used was high temp engine specific paint. I first sanded down the paint that came on the oil pan then I put down 3 coats of primer-----> 3 coats of aluminum spray paint ----->> then I taped a shawl down by the corners over the flat surfaces and sprayed one light then a medium coat of chevy orange --->then for the final touch i moved the shawl roughly 1cm over and sprayed one light coat then another light to medium coat
Really, for a true snake skin look, you should use thin fishnets .... if you dont have access to any or do but the woman would have a **** fit if she saw you painting with her stockings, a shawl works great. If the surface is not flat or has a curvature, you have to do it in segments and make sure that the shawl is pulled tight so you get a proper coverage. As you can see some fuzzy spots where because the shawl wasnt pulled tight enough in some areas and the paint went around it
yes green and brown or such earth tones are typically what you see in terms of color patterns with they type of paint scheme. I decided to do this particular color scheme because my car is painted dear blood red with black interior/gray interior with gray decals. THought I'd keep it uniform.

i think it could look good.
you just need a higher quality paint and a nice thick clear coat.

I used high temp engine paint from Dupli-color.
Is there a recomended manufacturer to use?
Any preferences out there?
