car cover burns, **** help.....

So, biggest mistake I've made yet with my car. I've got (had) beautiful black paint. I parked the car outside so I could use the garage but it's been raining so bad I put a cover on it to keep it dry, my t-tops and windshield both leak. well turns out it was also windy that night by the next moring when i pulled the cover off I noticed rub marks from the damn cover. Looks like someone sanded my paint. they are on the spoiler end, and rear quarter/roof line also in 4-5 other spots. most are small but they look like crap. how do I get them out. I've never buffed anything before.

Just rubbing with regular wax should take them out.

Go to autozone and get some products like swirl remover and buff with that. If that does not work, you are going to need a more agressive product.

O'rileys auto parts has a really great polish from meguires. get the finest machine glaze polish they have. Ive used it by hand to clean up slight oxidation. Just dont blame me if that spot of your car looks better than the rest! The stuff really work miracles.

It is just superficial. Don;t sweat it. A good wax will take care of it.

If that for some reason don't, a fine rubbing compound will. A littel experience with a buffer is a requirement if you don't do it by hand.

first thing was the car just washed before the cover went on?? also is there any dirt on the cover?? also my car cover is actually made to breath and will not stop rain soaking thru it after a while...i dont like useing my cover outside eather, after a few weeks i can see that dirt blows up underneath or thru it somehow and will sit inbetween the cover and the paint acting like sand paper when the cover gets blown in the wind... i see ppl useing covers outside all the time im surpriced theres not more ppl saying there paint is messed up.

it needs to be a custom fit cover with mirror pockets, and it has to be tied down. i havent had ANY problems with my California Car cover (except for how it took over a month to get it because they sent me the wrong one first )
